A Shedd woman was arrested early Saturday morning following a fight outside the Frontier bar in which another woman and two men suffered knife wounds, police said.

At approximately 2:11 a.m. on Saturday, police and medic units responded to the Frontier, 1234 Main St., to a report of a stabbing outside the bar.

Police Chief Bob Burford said officials found Alleah Mohamed, 25, of Sweet Home, lying on the sidewalk with a knife wound to the back. A second victim, Cyrus Hankins, 29, of Sweet Home, suffered knife wounds to the face.

A bar employee also suffered minor facial wounds when he attempted to intervene, Burford said.

Mohamed was taken to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, then transferred to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis. The two men refused medical transport.

A short time later, police arrested Lana Hecocta, 28, of Shedd. Burford said Hecocta apparently had an ongoing relationship with Hankins and allegedly sent him several threatening messages warning him not to come to the bar.

“Hankins apparently ignored those warnings and arrived to watch Mohamed participate in a ‘Jell-O wrestling event,’” Burford said.

Hankins was later standing on the sidewalk next to Mohamed when Hecocta approached and allegedly stabbed Mohamed in the back, Burford said.

Hecocta then allegedly stabbed at Hankins several times, striking him in the face, Burford said.

Hecocta was initially charged with two counts of attempted murder, first-degree assault and first-degree attempted assault. She was transported to Linn County Jail later Saturday morning.
