Angela Paul and Matthew Spratt have announced their engagement to marry on July 18, 2009.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Alex and Debbie Paul of Sweet Home.

She is a 1996 graduate of Sweet Home High School and a 2000 graduate of Western Oregon University. She also received teaching credentials from Pima Community College.

She is a third-grade teacher at St. Jerome Catholic School in El Cerrito, Calif.

The prospective groom is the son of Marie Logosz of Jefferson and Mike Spratt of Midland.

He is a 1995 graduate of Sweet Home High School. He is a former E-6 naval nuclear electrician aboard the USS Louisiana SSBN743.

He is employed as a field engineer for Siemens Energy and Automation in Concord, Calif., and is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in nuclear engineering technology from Thomas Edison State College.
