Police arrest five during drug bust

Five people were arrested after a team of police investigators served a search warrant at 1296 45th Ave. in Sweet Home early Thursday morning, Feb. 25.

Police Chief Bob Burford said his officers, assisted by the Linn Regional SWAT Team and personnel from Albany Police, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Lebanon Police and the Department of Human Services, served a narcotics-related search warrant at approximately 6 a.m.

He said investigators seized MDMA (Ecstasy), methamphetamine, marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms and 12 firearms, including one sawed-off shotgun.

The warrant is part of a multiyear investigation based upon complaints of drug trafficking at the residence, Burford said.
Three minor children were taken into protective custody by DHS.

Steve Charles Walker, 57, was arrested on charges of possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, possession of a short-barreled firearm and frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold.

Steve Terry Walker, 21, was arrested on three counts of first-degree child neglect, distribution and possession of MDMA,
distribution and possession of psilocybin mushrooms, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a short-barreled firearm and frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold.

Kayla Marie Harris, 19, was arrested on three counts of first-degree child neglect, frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold, distribution and possession of MDMA, distribution and possession of psilocybin mushrooms, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a short-barreled firearm.

Kirstin Ann Stevenson, 20, was charged with frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold.

James Leroy Salvador, 18, was charged with frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold.

Steve Charles Walker, Steve Terry Walker and Harris were transported to Linn County Jail. Stevenson and Salvador were cited and released.
