Former Holley teacher sentenced

A former Holley Elementary School teacher was sentenced on Feb. 2 to 42 months in prison after pleading guilty to three counts of second-degree sex abuse.

According to court documents, Cordy, of Monmouth, was accused of sexually assaulting a teenage minor at a YMCA summer camp in Marion County between May 1 and Aug. 20 of 2016.

Cordy was arrested on Feb. 2, 2017 and charged with using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct, third-degree sex abuse and four counts of second-degree sex abuse.

He was released on $10,000 bail on Feb. 6, 2017.
