Dorothy L. Rugg, 98, of Lebanon died May 9, 2007.
She was born April 9, 1909 in Portland to Frank Webb and Martha Sophie Wilhelmine Hoerling. She attended school in Portland and lived there, as well as in Havre, Mont; Oakland, Alameda, Lumas, Rio Linda and San Leandro Calif.; Federal Way and Kennewick, Wash.; Lebanon, St. Helens and Bend during her life.
She and Ralph Eugene Rugg were married Jan. 1, 1931 at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Portland.
Her favorite things were animals, sewing, reading gardening, walking, country living and attending church.
She worked at Zip’s Drive-In and as a rural newpaper carrier in Kennewick, Wash. She also was a hostess at the country club there. Later she did volunteer work at the Willamette Manor in Lebanon.
She is survived by three children, Phillip E. Rugg, Dian Martinez, and Michael V. Rugg; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 12, 1992.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 30 at Trinity Baptist Church in Lebanon with Dennis Tooker officiating.
