    An Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) adult in custody who walked away from a Department of Corrections (DOC) van while being transported back to Santiam Correctional Institution (SCI) from a work crew assignment is back in custody. Jay Marsh walked away from an SCI work crew near Lebanon at approximately 2:46 p.m., Monday, July 18, 2022.   • Sweet Home man sentenced to federal prison for drug dealing

    A Sweet Home man was sentenced Thursday, July 21, to federal prison after he sold methamphetamine and a firearm to an undercover federal agent while on federal supervised release for a previous conviction. Roger Lee Bishop, 56, a resident of Sweet Home, was sentenced to 84 months in federal prison and five years of supervised release. According to court documents, in August 2019, law enforcement learned that Bishop, a convicted felon, was trafficking methamphetamine in Linn County and had access to firearms.
