April 21, 2015

A crash Thursday afternoon, April 16, broke both of a 51-year-old Sweet Home man’s legs.

Bicyclist Louis Carreiro was transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital following the crash, located in the 800 block of Main Street, said Police Chief Jeff Lynn. Carreiro was cited for failure to yield when entering a roadway.

Following an investigation, police allege that Carreiro pulled out on a bicycle in front of a vehicle driven by Jonpaul Williams, 23.

Carreiro suffered multiple broken bones in his left leg and foot and a broken right leg, Lynn said.
