The Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District Board of Directors must look for new ways to raise money and cover expenses moving forward, said Tim Geil, an incumbent candidate for the board.
He faces challenger Don Schlies in the only contested race in the May 19 election. The board has three seats. Larry Johnson and Elmer Riemer are unopposed.
The SHFAD Board appointed Geil to his position when Gerry Wooley died, not long after the district was formed. Then-President Don Hopkins asked Geil if he would apply to the board.
