Tuesday morning drug bust results in arrests

Six people were arrested Tuesday following a narcotics-related search warrant served at 1238 2nd Ave.

Sweet Home Police Department with assistance from the Linn County Regional SWAT team, Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Lebanon Police Department and the DEA served the warrant Tuesday morning, July 21.

When law enforcement arrived, they encountered 11 adults and two minor children inside the home, according to a Sweet Home Police Department statement.

During the investigation, detectives seized methamphetamine, heroin, drug paraphernalia, firearm’s and suspected stolen property, police said.

Dustin Lee Mulvanny, 38, was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance - methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine, two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, and frequenting a place where controlled substances are used/sold. He was lodged at Linn County Jail.

Steven Ballweber, 26, was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance - methamphetamine and frequenting a place where controlled substances are used/sold. He was lodged at Linn County Jail.

Steven Jones, 27, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear - possession of controlled substance - methamphetamine. He was lodged at Linn County Jail.

Jay Baker, 18, was charged with frequenting a place where controlled substances are used/sold. He was cited and released.

Brian Mulvanny, 19, was charged with frequenting a place where controlled substances are used/sold. He was cited and released.

Tanisha Wilson, 19, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear - possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine. She was booked cited and released due to jail overcrowding.

Serena Patricio, 41, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear - first degree original charge - possession of a possession of a controlled substance and two counts of endangering the welfare of minor. She was booked cited and released due to jail overcrowding.

Demetrius Scott, 17, was taken into protective custody for possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine and frequenting a place where controlled substances are used/sold. She was lodged at Linn Benton Detention Center.

A female juvenile was released to the custody of her parents.

Two minor children who reside in the home were taken into protective custody by Department of Human Services and placed with relatives.

A narcotics investigation was opened by the Sweet Home Police Department due to reported drug sales by Mulvanny and others who both live at and frequent the residence, according to the statement.

Additional charges are expected and the investigation is continuing, police said.
