‘Our Miss Brooks’ returns to SHHS stage

Sweet Home High School will present “Our Miss Brooks” in performances Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the auditorium.

The school last presented the play in 2008. The comedy is an adaptation of the 1940s radio show and 1950s TV series of the same name.

It revolves around a school play in which the school’s star basketball player backs out on his team to take the leading role. The daughter of the school board president reads her lines so poorly that Miss Brooks controversially gives the role to a nobody with real talent.
