Aug. 1

12:36 a.m. - Carrie Ann Giles, 35, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Cited and released.

4:57 a.m. - Caller reported the line for the outside drive-through ringer was cut or broken, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken. Damage estimated at $8.

9:12 a.m. - Caller reported persons living in a tent and camper shell, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Referred to code enforcement.

12:53 p.m. - Caller reported a pickup full of junk parked in the street, 23rd and Ironwood. Referred to code enforcement.

1:52 p.m. - Caller reported that someone keeps taking bulbs out of her solar lights, 1800 block of Ames Creek.

July 31

12:47 a.m. - Caller reported loud music still coming from the Downtown Lounge, 1234 Main St. Officer responded and advised of the complaint. Subjects turned the music down.

2:03 a.m. - Caller turned in a sleeping bag he located, 18th and Long. Placed in found property.

2:14 a.m. - Caller reported a male not letting a female leave while walking down the street, 1500 block of Main. Officer responded. There was a physical altercation between a male and a female and then two males. One male was carrying a knife and menacing. The victim of the menacing was one upon officer arrival. The knife was confiscated pending further investigation.


7:23 a.m. - Caller reported that someone took fruit from an outside produce stand and threw it all over the parking lot, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken for criminal mischief.

10:54 a.m. - Caller found a wallet on the sidewalk, 4500 block of Airport. Placed in found property.

11:10 a.m. - Caller reported laying her keys on the counter, and someone else took them, 1501 Main St., Speedee Mart. Officer contacted caller and store owner. No one was available to access video. The keys may have been taken by accident. Description provided for the male who may have taken them.

1:10 p.m. - Caller reported customers left without paying for their meal, 1333 Main St. Report taken. Loss valued at $20.

1:17 p.m. - Caller reported a red tool box stolen, 500 block of 10th. Report taken. Loss valued at $200.

1:43 p.m. - Caller reported the theft of a handgun from his vehicle during the night, 900 block of Long. Report taken.

2:41 p.m. - Caller received a demand letter for a check on a closed account, 1400 block of 13th. Report taken.

4:37 p.m. - Caller reported a theft, Wiley Creek Park.

5:45 p.m. - Caller reported that someone stole $80 from her purse during the show the previous night, Jamboree grounds. Report taken.

6:03 p.m. - Caller reported a license plate stolen from her vehicle, 13th and Kalmia. Report taken.

6:11 p.m. - Landon Cole Hawkins, 18, cited for minor in possession of alcohol, Jamboree grounds.

6:13 p.m. - Kyanna Danon Swendseid, 19, and Shelby Lynn Powelson, 20, cited for minor in possession of alcohol, Jamboree grounds.

6:18 p.m. - Caller reported two males exchanged money and a baggie, 14th and Kalmia. Officer responded and contacted a male, who consented to a search. The officer did not locate drugs on him. He stated he sold a Jamboree band for a couple of dollars for beer.


6:46 p.m. - Caller reported a small dog attacked her 3-year-old son while he was playing in the front yard. Officer responded. Child was chased but not bitten. The owner of the dog was not home, but the officer planned to check back later.

9:12 p.m. - Wade Alan Vaughan, 18, cited for minor in possession of alcohol, Jamboree grounds.

9:53 p.m. - Officers assisted crowd management in removing a patron who refused to leave, Jamboree grounds.

11:03 p.m. - Kaley Marisa Mills, 21, arrested for driving under the influence and reckless driving and cited for unlawful lane change, Main Street at Hilltop Market. Vehicle impounded.

11:38 p.m. - Caller found a wallet on the sidewalk, 15th and Main. Placed in found property.

11:41 p.m. - Caller reported a dog bit a man, 1200 block of Nandina. Animal quarantined. Report taken.

July 30

2:05 a.m. - Caller reported a disturbance between two males and a camp host, Sankey Park. No injuries. Caller wanted subjects trespassed for the weekend.

2:20 a.m. - Officer found a cell phone, Sankey Park. Placed in found property.

2:30 p.m. - Daniel Anthony Ciullo, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for second-degree theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

3:02 a.m. - Caller reported a confrontation between two males, and one was walking down the road with a knife, 14th Avenue at Sankey Park. Officer contacted a male who denied being involved. Officer contacted Jamboree security, who had counseled a male who was catching Pokemon.


8:12 a.m. - Caller reported a small white bicycle left in front of location for two days, 700 block of Ninth. Bike placed in found property.

9:36 a.m. - Caller found a credit card in the parking lot, 830 Mountain View Road, Sweet Home Assembly. Placed in found property.

12:32 p.m. - Bradley Marion Puch, 32, cited for no license, Main and 24th.

12:34 p.m. - Caller reported a car stuck on the median strip, 18th and Main. Damage less than $1,500. No citations.

12:55 p.m. - Caller reported dogs in a carrier inside a pickup, 1500 block of Main. They had no water. Officer responded. The temperature was not very high, but a male was warned for leaving dogs in the vehicle.

1:30 p.m. - Caller reported a dog shut in a vehicle for 20 minutes, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Officer responded. Temperature was not very high, but the owner was counseled.

2:17 p.m. - Rebekah M. Ours, 24, cited for no license, 15th and Nandina.

3:20 p.m. - Julio Anaya Cruz, 45, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended and driving under the influence and cited for no ignition interlock device, 1800 block of Main.

3:21 p.m. - Jeremy Michael Wayne Hicks, 35, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and a new charge of possession of meth, behind the Downtown Lounge, 1234 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:56 p.m. - Hunter Sky Banta, 20, cited for no license, 1600 block of Long.

4:02 p.m. - Caller requested extra patrol after quiet hours because six or seven teens with masks ran through the campground at about 2 a.m., Jamboree campground at 49th and Airport.

4:21 p.m. - Gabriel Wayne Redick, 19, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended, 3200 block of Main. Cited and released.

4:42 p.m. - Caller reported a white pit bull running loose in and out of traffic, Main and 13th. Dog placed in kennel.

6:28 p.m. - Justin Ray Gomez, 24, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended and cited for speeding, 36 mph in a 25-mph zone, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

6:28 p.m. - Caller reported leaving personal items and VIP swag at the VIP lounge at the Jamboree. When the caller returned, it was gone. Investigation continuing.

6:37 p.m. - Caller flagged down an officer to report a child playing in a yard unsupervised, 1100 18th. Officer contacted mother, who was in the garage watching the child.

6:53 p.m. - Caller reported a caregiver throwing cans at him and yelling at him, 1300 block of 53rd. Report taken for harassment. Investigation continuing.

7:32 p.m. - Zachary Shane Stegner, 30, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 47th and Main.

7:56 p.m. - Samuel Armstrong Monroe Jr., 39, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended and possession of meth and cited for driving uninsured, 4500 block of Main. Cited and released.

8:06 p.m. - Caller reported two dogs running loose and chasing cats, 27th and Foothills. Officer located dogs and contacted owner.

9:34 p.m. - Eric Daniel Grimm, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for misdemeanor driving while suspended, Linn County. Cited and released.

10:04 p.m. - Malea Marie Amerman, 28, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, Jamboree grounds. Cited and released. Crowd management reported an unruly patron refusing to leave the grounds.

10:18 p.m. - Crowd management reported finding a marijuana pipe during a bag check, Jamboree grounds. Officer seized pipe for destruction.

10:22 p.m. - Robyn Desiree Eakins, 27, cited for failure to carry proof of insurance, 2400 block of Main.

10:30 p.m. - Caller reported that someone broke into his grandparents’ house. Report taken.

11:03 p.m. - Angel Patricia Geib, 32, arrested for possession of meth, Long and 18th. Officer had located a female passed out in a vehicle blocking the roadway. Vehicle impounded.

11:23 p.m. - Craig Bruce Adams, 37, arrested for restraining order violation, 5527 Poplar St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

July 29

1:15 a.m. - Macayla Marie Jimenez, 20, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charges of theft by receiving and two counts of second-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

2:14 a.m. - Caller reported a chainsaw and tool box on the sidewalk, 900 block of 10th. Items placed in found property.

7:04 a.m. - Caller reported a sign at the Skate Park had been knocked over, 1990 Long St. Post wasn’t broken, but the sign had been knocked to the ground. Public Works notified.

9:44 p.m. - Dillon Marcus Viescas, 21, cited for speeding, 60 mph in a 35-mph zone, 2400 block of Main.

11:08 a.m. - Caller reported a bicyclist struck by a vehicle, 2000 block of Main. No major injuries. No citations. Report taken.

1:17 a.m. - John Pablo Scott, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree escape, Lebanon. Cited and released.

1:32 p.m. - Caller found a wallet, 1100 block of 13th. Placed in found property.

2:45 p.m. - Caller reported her vehicle was damaged while parked a couple of nights earlier, 1600 block of Long. Report taken.

5:28 p.m. - Caller reported that a Jamboree patron activated the fire suppression system in a National Guard vehicle, 1000 block of 18th. Investigation continuing.

5:48 p.m. - Thomas Hernandez, 52, arrested on Clackamas County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, 1536 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5:47 p.m. - Caller reported an RV hit a stop sign and turned it 90 degrees, 22nd and Mountain View. Vehicles were running the intersection. Report taken. Public Works notified.

6:25 p.m. - Aaron James Lovik, 30, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, Main and Highway 228.

7:22 p.m. - Caller flagged down officer and reported that a male was picking people’s pockets, in front of the Jamboree grounds. Male refused to identify himself and was trespassed from the property.

7:28 p.m. - Vehicle parked in bike lane impounded, 22nd and Long.

8:41 p.m. - Alex Earl Pierce, 20, cited for speeding, 63 mph in a 45-mph zone, 6000 block of Main.

8:45 p.m. - Ervin Larry Smith, 63, cited for no license, 22nd and Mountain View.

10:21 p.m. - Officer assisted in ejecting a patron from the Jamboree.

11:54 p.m. - Kevin Austin Corrington, 18, arrested for driving under the influence, recklessly endangering another person and unlawful possession of a firearm and cited for open container of alcohol, careless driving and reckless driving, Ninth and Main. Cited and released.

1:51 a.m. - Zachary Shane Stegner, 30, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to signal lane change, 45th off Main.

2:47 a.m. - Cody Michael Lobdell, 20, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School.

2:50 a.m. - Veronica Sue Szuch, 20, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School.

5:41 a.m. - Caller reported a golden lab appeared at her house, 2400 block of Cedar. Dog was not neutered and not chipped. Dog placed in kennel and later released to owner.

6:53 a.m. - Caller believed transients were in an abandoned house behind her, 700 block of 23rd. Caller advised it was an ongoing problem, but the caller could never catch them. Officer located a single subject at the location. Officer to contact owner.


7:08 a.m. - Caller reported her vehicle was keyed, 1300 block of Quince. Report taken.

9:28 a.m. - Caller reported bumping another car when backing out, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Driver was unable to locate the owner. Officer took a report. Damage was valued at less than $1,500.

11:28 a.m. - Caller reported that a male subject came onto his property and ripped out four of the caller’s marijuana plants, 1100 block of 55th. Report taken.

12:13 p.m. - Jeffery Alexander McNees, 23, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of hit and run and for probation violation, Long and 22nd. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.

1:45 p.m. - Caller reported that someone broke into her house during the night, 400 block of 18th.

2:33 p.m. - Caller reported that a black lab keeps getting out, running loose and chasing construction workers, 1200 block of Sunset. Officer located the dog. It did not seem threatening. Officer left business card for owner.

3:03 p.m. - Caller reported receiving a fraudulent check from a job offer, 2200 block of Main. Officer contacted the caller, who was not out any money. Information noted.

4:30 p.m. - Caller reported a restraining order violation, 4600 block of Main. Report taken.

4:36 p.m. - Caller reported a truck and trailer hit an apartment complex and took off, 1890 Kalmia St. Report taken.

5:05 p.m. - Caller reported receiving arm and leg braces in the mail, but she didn’t purchase them, 5050 Mountain Fir, Wiley Creek Community. Caller advised of options.

5:49 p.m. - Cody Allen Bierto, 21, cited for no license, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Caller had reported a vehicle in her vehicle in the parking lot. The driver was inside the store. Damage less than $1,500.

5:50 p.m. - Caller reported seeing a motor home hit a pickup and turn east on Long Street, 18th and Long. Vehicles gone upon officer arrival.

6:11 p.m. - Caller reported that a Jamboree volunteer yelled at his wife when she pulled into the high school parking lot, 1641 Long St. Officer contacted the caller and his wife by phone. Information noted.

6:22 p.m. - Caller reported a male running down the street. The male went to the caller stating that the police were being called on him regarding a little girl, then he ran to a neighbor’s house and tried to break into the neighbor’s backyard, 1300 block of Nandina. Officer responded and contacted the male, who was under the influence of something. The male said he would head home.

6:39 p.m. - Misty Lynn Nored, 40, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of driving under the influence, 1200 block of Main. Caller had reported her boyfriend threatening to kill her. He had a firearm and was driving intoxicated, according to the caller. The caller jumped out of the vehicle and hid at the Downtown Lounge. Report taken.


7:20 p.m. - Caller reported his son’s quad tires stolen, 1200 block of Fourth. Report taken. Loss valued at $400.

7:43 p.m. - Leah Marie Hammock, 27, arrested for second-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

7:47 p.m. - Caller reported a male in a white van dumping property in the parking lot and leaving, 1200 block of Long. Property picked up and returned to owner in connection to another case.

8:10 p.m. - Terry Lynn Ballweber, 52, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass, Lebanon. Cited and released.

8:51 p.m. - Kevin Joseph Bachand, 44, cited and released in field for second-degree criminal trespass, end of Willow.

9:03 p.m. - Officer located a wallet, end of Willow. Placed in found property.

9:37 p.m. - Benjamin Catetano Chavez, 39, cited for no license and driving uninsured, 4200 block of Main. Vehicle impounded.

10:31 p.m. - Caprice Marie Goodenough, 31, arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct and taken to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital for mental evaluation, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Callers had reported a female screaming.

10:35 p.m. - Caller reported that a male came into her home when she was gone and then choked her and threw a bottle of wine on her when she got home, 300 W. Holley Road, Stone Brook Apartments. Report taken.

12:14 p.m. - Caller reported that Downtown Lounge was still playing loud music, 1234 Main St. Officer contacted bar employees and advised them to end the music for the night.

July 27

7:10 a.m. - Caller reported that barking dogs woke him up, 5300 block of Main. Officer attempted contact. No answer. Officer left a business card.

9:17 a.m. - Caller reported the theft of frog lawn ornaments a month earlier, 900 block of Nandina. Report taken. Loss valued at $150.

10:48 a.m. - Caller reported a line lying in the middle of the street from a big truck passing through, 1900 block of Grape. Line removed. CenturyLink informed.

12:33 p.m. - Caller reported a vehicle with explosives parked outside the caller’s unit, 5300 block of Poplar. Officer responded. Vehicle posted for removal.

1:02 p.m. - Caller reported that a neighbor’s pit bill damaged her fence and is running loose again, 1200 block of Fourth. Officer contacted owner and advised the owner of the complaint.

1:18 p.m. - Officer located a dog inside a hot car, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Owner counseled.

1:21 p.m. - Caller reported tall weeds and grass, 1800 block of 12th. Referred to code enforcement.

1:48 p.m. - Caller reported a toddler about a half mile from home and unsupervised, 1300 block of Quince. The caller returned the toddler and heard that this is a continual problem. Officer contacted the caller and parent. Parent counseled and advised of potential penalty.

2:40 p.m. - Caller reported a fifth-wheel and someone digging a ditch and placing a pipe to the street, 1100 block of First. Referred to code enforcement.

2:53 p.m. - Caller reported a person living in a trailer for more than 3 months, 1100 block of Fourth. Referred to code enforcement.

3:13 p.m. - Caller reported dumped garbage, 1800 block of 18th. Referred to code enforcement.

4:29 p.m. - James David Stedman, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Independence. Cited and released.

4:43 p.m. - Caller reported an ex-girlfriend slandering him and his business on Facebook, 100 block of Main. Officer responded. It was mostly a civil situation. The female was trespassed from the location. The female reported her vehicle vandalized by the caller. Report taken for criminal mischief.


5:49 p.m. - Mary Jane Stoufer, 59, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Multnomah County. Cited and released.

7:40 p.m. - Caller reported dogs barking, 5300 block of Main. Officer responded and heard dogs barking at nearly every trailer in the park. Officer unable to pinpoint which trailer had the issue.

8:30 p.m. - Caller reported the theft of a phone, ear buds and shorts, Shea Point. Report taken.

11:17 p.m. - David Paul Gruwell, 49, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Transported to Linn County Jail.

July 26

12:49 a.m. - Kevin Joseph Bachand, 44, arrested for third-degree theft in connection to a report on July 24, 18th and railroad tracks. Cited and released.

2:34 a.m. - Caller reported a flashlight moving around inside the garage of a house that was in foreclosure, 400 block of 18th. Female ran away upon officer arrival. Report taken.

8:51 a.m. - Caller reported that someone took a pallet of plywood during the night, 3225 Main St., former Sweet Home Ranger District office. Report taken.

9:07 a.m. - Linn County Jail cited Joshua Casey Waddell, 32, on Sweet Home warrant for third-degree theft.

10:49 a.m. - Caller reported tall weeds and grass, 2200 block of Kalmia. Referred to code enforcement.

12:34 p.m. - Linn County Jail cited Gerald Lee Stroud, 53, on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft.

3:54 p.m. - Caller reported a vehicle parked for more than a month, 1800 block of 12th. Referred to code enforcement.

4:31 p.m. - Caller reported that a dog runs loose in the neighborhood, defecates in yards and aggravates other dogs, 300 block of Seventh. Officer contacted the owner and warned them for keeping a dog as a public nuisance. The owner advised that the owner was working on the issues.

5:36 p.m. - Community Services Officer located a Jaguar key, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Placed in found property.

5:43 p.m. - Caller reported a male driver, possibly intoxicated, driving a red and black truck in reverse down the street, Seventh Avenue. Officer responded. Unable to locate.

6:07 p.m. - Trevor Patrick Thomas, 42, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, menacing, domestic violence and interfering with making a 9-1-1 report, 1340 Sunset Lane. Transported to Linn County Jail. Caller reported that a male subject had a knife and was threatening her and kicking her dog.

6:25 p.m. - Caller said a pit mix wandered onto her property, 38200 block of Courtney Creek. She wanted a deputy to come get the dog. Report taken.

8:14 p.m. - Caller reported a kitten had been spray painted blue, with a swastika carved into it, 18th and Vine. Information noted.

10:45 p.m. - Jordan Ray Manasco, 22, arrested for driving under the influence, Long and 40th. Cited and released. Caller had reported a possibly intoxicated driver hitting a curb, blowing out a tire and driving away.

11:57 p.m. - Caller reported people sleeping on a mattress behind location, 1700 block of Main. Officer contacted subjects, who advised they had permission to be there. Officer would have day shift follow up.

July 25

11:49 a.m. - Caller reported two bags, which contained personal information, medication and other belongings, were stolen from the back of the caller’s truck, 44500 block of Quartzville.

8:39 p.m. - Caller reported a neighbor’s dog was loose and running in the road, 4300 block of Main. Officer responded. Officer was unable to secure the gate to keep the dog in and brought the dog to the Police Department to stay until the owner could pick it up.

8:53 p.m. - Caller reported that neighbors have been gone for two weeks, and their children left their dogs in the backyard, 4400 block of Long. The dogs were barking. Officer responded. Nobody at the residence. The caller was to call when residents returned.

11:16 p.m. - Kaleb James Elmer, 20, cited for driving while suspended and failure to install ignition interlock device, Ninth and Elm.

July 24

8:18 a.m. - Caller reported the theft of a generator, Yellowbottom Campground. Report taken.

5:01 p.m. - An intoxicated male with an elbow injury was found in a ditch crying, 25900 block of Old Holley. Oregon Department of Forestry was on the scene until deputies arrived. Medics were also en route. It was reported that the man was chasing the medics and ODF on the scene. He was transported to the hospital.

July 23

9:48 a.m. - Caller reported a theft, Camp Tadmore. Caller had video footage of the suspect vehicle. A toolbox full of compasses for map reading taken. Report taken.

July 22

6:14 a.m. - Trash was left on caller’s property, 1000 block of North River. Caller advised he found the name and address of the subject who left the trash. A deputy contacted the subject who owned the trash. The subject said it must have blown out of the back of the subject’s pickup truck. The subject went to the location and picked it up.

July 20

11:42 a.m. - Caller reported his wife missing, 4500 block of Weatherly Ln. She has Alzheimer’s and was last seen at about 10:30 to 11 a.m. The caller went looking for her but could not find her. She was found by neighbors across the street.

2:14 p.m. - Caller reported one of her friends stole her iPad, 30500 block of Fairview Road. The iPad belongs to Rent-A-Center. Report taken.
