Aug. 8

9:56 a.m. - Caller reported that someone opened a credit card and Comcast account in his name, and he was sent to collections, 1100 block of 46th. Information noted.

10:23 a.m. - Caller turned in a silver man’s ring found near the Pleasant Valley Bridge. Placed in found property.

10:57 a.m. - Caller reported that he trapped a dog in his backyard, 1300 block of Nandina. Caller agreed to keep the dog for now due to the Police Department kennel being full. Linn County Dog Control advised.

10:59 a.m. - Caller turned in two dogs located on Main Street at west city limits. Officer responded. Dogs returned to owner.

11:04 a.m. - Caller reported a dog at her residence again, 1300 block of 43rd. Officer responded and contacted dog owner, who stated that her daughter left the side gate open. Owner given another warning for dog at large and told she will be cited the next time.

12:45 p.m. - Caller reported neighbor’s dog is constantly barking, 1700 block of Dogwood. Dog was not barking upon officer arrival. Officer contacted owner and advised her of the complaint.

1:02 p.m. - Caller reported subjects living in the trees, mill property off the end of Willow Street. The caller could see garbage piling up, and the subjects were cutting down trees. Officer contacted three juveniles but unable to locate any illegal camps. Caller advised to call next time she sees anyone go into the area.

Aug. 7

9:15 a.m. - Caller reported a large brown dog was aggressive toward the caller as he walked by, 2300 block of Harding. Officer warned the owner for dog at large.

9:18 a.m. - Caller reported being brought to Sweet Home, assaulted by her boyfriend and left stranded in Sweet Home, 4100 block of Main. Report taken for harassment. Neither party was interested in charges. The couple split up and planned on staying that way. The caller was provided assistance to get home.

9:26 a.m. - Caller found a large handbag sitting on the front steps, 1658 Long St., River of Life Church. Backpack placed in found property.

4:19 p.m. - Caller reported concerns for a male who had a broken arm and said that another male urinated on him and then broke his arm, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken for fourth-degree assault.

Aug. 6

1:53 a.m. - Jennifer Marlene Robertson, 42, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Cited and released.

7:21 a.m. - Katina Leann May, 43, arrested on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1800 block of Elm. Cited and released.

1:19 p.m. - Caller reported finding other people’s mail, 1266 44th Ave., Sweet Home Mennonite Church. Mail seized for safekeeping.

2:08 p.m. - Casey Lee Hurley, 31, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and Marion County warrants for possession of meth and failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, 620 Mountain View Road. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:27 p.m. - Caller reported a counterfeit $20 bill, Towne Pump. Report taken.

7:25 p.m. - Caller reported a neighbor’s dog barking, and the owner wasn’t home, 4400 block of Long. Officer responded. Business cards from previous calls were still in the door. Caller said she would call if she saw anyone go to the house.

9:49 p.m. - Caller reported that a neighbor’s dogs were barking, 1800 block of Kalmia. Officer responded. Owner not home. Officer would try to contact owner later.

10:01 p.m. - Caller turned in a wallet she found, 15th and Nandina. Placed in found property.

Aug. 5

12:11 a.m. - Caller reported transients camping and yelling, 13th and Kalmia. Officer responded. A cart had fallen over and made noise. The subjects agreed to keep it down.

5:14 a.m. - Caller reported his vehicle 900 block of Main.

1 p.m. - Caller reported a female smoking marijuana near the bottle return, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Manager did not wish to pursue charges. Subjects educated on where they can smoke marijuana.

2 p.m. - Caller reported that the neighbors leave for the weekend, and their kids leave the dogs out in the yard where they bark nonstop, 4400 block of Long. Officer responded and left business card at the owner’s residence.

6:27 p.m. - David Nils Lejon, 44, arrested for encouraging second-degree child sexual abuse, 1145 Second Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail. According to the Oregon Revised Statutes, a person commits the offense for knowingly possessing or controlling or knowingly accessing with the intent to view a visual recording of sexually explicit conduct involving a child for the purpose of arousing or satisfying the sexual desires of the person or another person. Police officers executed a search warrant at the address and seized a computer and computer-related equipment, which were sent for forensic analysis. Lejon remained lodged at Linn County Jail on Monday.

6:54 p.m. - Linn County Sheriff’s Office located vehicle reported stolen earlier in the day, 125 Central Ave., Lebanon.

10:14 p.m. - Jaycee Ryan McClurg, 29, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, 5301 Main St.

10:22 p.m. - Bobby James Starr Rand, 34, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of driving under the influence, 5465 Nandina St.

10:56 p.m. - Caller reported that a male who watches the park blew an air horn at kids playing Pokemon Go in the park and then grabbed one, ripping his shirt and hitting him in the head with the air horn, Sankey Park. Officer responded and contacted the male, who said it was mostly verbal with minor physical but denied striking the other male with the air horn. Information noted.

11:08 p.m. - Caller reported that while playing Pokemon Go in her vehicle, 18th and Long, a male attempted to open her rear passenger door. Officer checked area. Unable to locate.

Aug. 4

4:08 a.m. - Frank Roy Brown, 55, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief and probation violation, Shea Point. Caller reported a vehicle running at Shea Point with no one around.

8:12 a.m. - Caller reported a dog running loose, 4400 block of Main. Dog placed in kennel, and Dog Control advised.

8:40 a.m. - David Wayne Samson, 55, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of carrying a concealed weapon, 1575 Main St., Chamber of Commerce.

10:16 a.m. - Caller reported bushes blocking the sidewalk, 1000 block of Nandina. Referred to code enforcement.

10:57 a.m. - Caller reported a truck full of garbage parked on the street for a prolonged period, 1800 block of Grape. Referred to code enforcement.

12:09 p.m. - Caller reported she had a $1,500 check stolen, 400 block of Mountain View. Information noted.

12:47 p.m. - Caller reported the theft of a cell phone, 1501 Main St., Speedee Mart. Report taken. Loss valued at $700.

2:01 p.m. - Caller reported a white pit bull running loose, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Dog was inside the residence upon arrival. Officer contacted a male resident who did not believe the dog was out. The gate was open. The male secured it.

2:49 p.m. - Caller turned in a dog he located in the 2800 block of Foothills. Dog returned to owner.

3:31 p.m. - Caller reported she was involved in a Craigslist scam, 1000 block of 42nd. Information noted. Caller requested the officer seize documents for destruction.

4:23 p.m. - Caller reported two dogs lying in a yard, Eighth and Dogwood. Caller believed the dogs had been running loose for about 10 days. Officer unable to catch the dogs. Referred to Dog Control.

5:06 p.m. - Caller reported tall weeds, 2200 block of Kalmia. Referred to code enforcement.

Aug. 3

1:40 a.m. - Matthew Charles Nill, 33, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Salem. Cited and released.

6:24 a.m. - Caller reported an abandoned car making it hard for truck drivers to turn the corner, 18th and Tamarack. Referred to code enforcement.

11:50 a.m. - Caller reported tall grass, 4600 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.

11:50 a.m. - Caller reported a silver RV parked for a long period, and persons are living in it, 4500 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.

1:28 p.m. - Caller reported a bush on the corner was blocking the view at a stop sign, 10th and Elm. Referred to code enforcement.

2:53 p.m. - Caller reported that contractors have left a pile of concrete pieces, creating an attractive nuisance, 1200 block of 40th. Referred to code enforcement.

5:30 p.m. - Caller reported that transients were fighting again, 12th and Kalmia. Officer unable to locate.

5:40 p.m. - Kenneth Parker, 56, arrested for fourth-degree assault and menacing, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Callers had reported a disturbance between two males. One caller said one male pulled a knife.

5:57 p.m. - Caller turned in a wallet she found. Wallet placed in found property.

6:47 p.m. - Caller turned in a wallet he found a month ago, Sankey Park. Placed in found property.

8:43 p.m. - Caller reported that someone was lighting fireworks and making her pacemaker go crazy, 2300 block of main. Officer contacted a male who said he had been setting off fireworks but was done for the night.

Aug. 2

4:54 a.m. - Single-vehicle crash, vehicle in a ditch, 37800 block of Mountain Home. No injuries.

8:33 a.m. - Caller reported two stray dogs in his backyard since last night, 300 block of 10th. The dogs were out in the neighborhood now. Officer responded and left message for possible owner.

8:40 a.m. - Caller reported a rooster, 2900 block of Foothills. Referred to code enforcement.

9:48 a.m. - Caller reported that someone slashed her tires and withdrew money using her debit card, 3224 Main St., South Fork manufactured home park. Report taken.

10:11 a.m. - Caller reported two rugs stolen, 3100 block of Long. Report taken. Loss valued at $400.

10:18 a.m. - Caller turned in a Smith and Wesson magazine found at 880 18th Ave., Jim Riggs Community Center. Placed in found property.

10:55 p.m. - Caller turned in a key fob found near flag poles, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Placed in found property.

12:55 p.m. - Caller reported a minor motor vehicle collision, 3000 block of Main. No injuries. No citations. Officer assisted in exchanging information.

1:06 p.m. - Caller reported her son was assaulted at a campsite during the weekend, Community Chapel. A male said he and seven other males were at a campsite when someone threw a beer at one of his friends. Report taken. He tried to break up the fight and was punched. Investigation continuing, and Linn County Sheriff’s Office is seeking witnesses.

2:13 p.m. - Justin William McGarry, 32, arrested for third-degree assault and first-degree criminal mistreatment. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:30 p.m. - Caller reported that his ex-girlfriend took his vehicle without permission. She left him a message that she parked it at 1540 Main St., Safeway, with the keys inside. The caller requested that the officer verify that his vehicle was parked at that location, and then he would respond and pick it up. Officer responded. Title and keys secured.

4:07 p.m. - Caller reported a travel trailer parked in a front yard, 3500 block of Flanagan. Code enforcement officer left business card for owner.

5:37 p.m. - Kelly Lee Ash, 33, arrested for a violation of restraining order, 4910 Osage St. Linn County Sheriff’s Office had reported an open line and a male and female yelling at each other. Officer responded to a disturbance over a crash that happened outside the city limits. Information referred to Linn County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Police.

7:06 p.m. - Daniel Lee Gosline, 60, arrested on Douglas County warrant for parole violation on original charge of possession of a firearm violation, 805 Long St. Caller had reported a male harassing customers, falling over and lying on the porch. Transported to Linn County Jail and held for detox.

10:10 p.m. - Caller reported subjects camping in a dumpster, 2300 block of Main. Officer unable to locate.

Aug. 1

2:21 p.m. - Caller reported a male and female walking in the street and pushing baby carriages with no babies, 1100 block of 12th. They were yelling and screaming obscenities at each other. Officer contacted the female, who said she was yelling for the male. She was advised to stay on the sidewalk.

3:11 p.m. - Caller turned in a backpack left at the Oregon Jamboree office, 401 Main St. the backpack had reportedly been dropped by a subject stealing from one of the campgrounds. Officer seized clothing, pills and marijuana, but the backpack had no items to identify the owner.

4:42 p.m. - Caller reported a gas can stolen, 5200 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.

4:30 p.m. - Caller reported a male subject gong through freezers on a front porch and refusing to leave, 1700 block of Spruce. Officer responded. Male gone upon arrival. Unable to locate.

5:54 p.m. - Caller reported a violation of a no-contact order, 3700 block of Main. Report taken.

6:03 p.m. - Jesse Chas Meehan, 36, arrested on Linn County warrant for possession of meth and a new charge of first-degree burglary, 1809 Willow St. Caller had reported a male coming into the house, kicking a wall in a closet, taking a box and leaving.

6:06 p.m. - Caller reported two dogs running loose, 10th and Elm. Officer unable to locate.

9 p.m. - Caller reported dogs barking nonstop, 1800 block of Kalmia. Officer left business card with owner.

9:19 p.m. - Caller reported a female threatening to cause harm to people and property, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report forwarded to city attorney.

10:30 p.m. - Caller reported an agitated female walking west on Main Street, east city limits. Officer contacted a female, who didn’t need assistance and ran into the woods.

10:39 p.m. - Caller reported a dog running loose, 10th and Dogwood. Officer unable to locate.

July 31

6:32 a.m. - Caller reported the theft of spare parts, logging processors and other property from a logging site, 56300 block of Highway 20. Report taken. Loss valued at more than $4,000.

July 30

12:17 p.m. - Caller reported fuel and an LED light bar stolen from his truck, Riverbend Park. Report taken.

July 29

8:50 a.m. - Caller reported that someone dumped a bunch of garbage in the middle of Paddock Lane.

10:34 a.m. - Caller reported that she was issued a fraudulent $1,600 check and was requested to by the issuer.

10:42 a.m. - Caller reported mail stolen, 28400 block of Pleasant Valley. Report taken.

9:05 p.m. - Caller reported a loose dog, and the camp hosts could not locate the owner, Riverbend Park.

July 28

11:15 p.m. - Caller reported an assault, 41900 block of North River. No visible injury. Report taken.

July 27

3:02 p.m. - Caller reported two-vehicle crash, with one vehicle in a ditch, 29800 block of Fairview. No injuries.
