Huskies hold off Crook County comeback, even their record

Sweet Home’s football team weathered a late comeback by Crook County to exit Husky Field Friday night with a 27-20 win over the visitors to even the Huskies’ record at 1-1.

Daniel Virtue led the way for the Huskies with 63 rushing yards and 80 passing. He added two touchdown passes.

“Virtue played with a lot more confidence,” said Coach Dustin Nichol, who saw his team open the season with a 35-2 loss to Hidden Valley on Sept. 2.
