Two vehicles block Highway 228 where they creashed on Sept. 14 near milepost 20 and Valley View Drive. Loretta Mabe, 69, of Sweet Home, who was driving the Nissan Altima, was cited for failure to maintain lane. According to an Oregon State Police report, she was headed west when her vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a Ford Ranger driven by John Makarchek, 62, of Sweet Home. Both drivers were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Emergency workers responded about 4 p.m.

Sept. 18

12:17 a.m. - Caller reported that he recovered his stolen bicycle, 1300 block of Nandina. Officer responded and confirmed it. Bike removed from Law Enforcement Data System.

1:31 a.m. - Kyle Alexander Richards, 23, cited for no license, 2200 block of Long.

7:29 a.m. - Joshua Casey Waddell, 32, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Salem. Cited and released.

8:11 a.m. - James Robert Warrington, 37, cited for consuming alcohol in a public place, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park.

10:46 a.m. - Caller reported a bicycle stolen, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows.

11:34 a.m. - Nathan Cole Barrios, 19, cited for speeding, 68 mph in a 45-mph zone, 6000 block of Main.

12:30 p.m. - Danny Ray Roebuck, 62, turned in himself on Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, contempt of court and failure to appear, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.

Sept. 17

7:01 a.m. - John Michael Sho-bert, 60, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for second-degree disorderly conduct, and Tiffany Lorraine Shobert, 37, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for second-degree disorderly conduct, Linn County. Cited and released.

9:57 a.m. - Caller reported five dogs living in the 4900 block of Airport Road run loose. When she walks by with her dog on a leash, they charge at her dog.

11:27 a.m. - Caller found a baggie with a white substance, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Officer seized bag for destruction.

1:11 p.m. - James Robert Warrington, 37, cited for consuming alcohol in public and offensive littering, 1900 block of Long. Caller had reported a male who appeared to be passed out or sleeping on the sidewalk. A dog wouldn’t let the caller near the male.

1:59 p.m. - Caller found a green and black electronic timer-thermostat, 1300 block of Long. Placed in found property.

3:25 p.m. - Scheri Janae Oliver, 34, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, 49th and Airport.

7:20 p.m. - Hunter Areil Ringheimer, 23, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of failure to appear and probation violation, 12th and Nandina.

7:46 p.m. - Annie Lee Bowsher, 36, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.

10:33 p.m. - Dawn Marie Thompson, 28, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree custodial interference, attempting to commit a class C felony, interfering with a police officer and failure to appear on a criminal citation, Shea Point.

Sept. 16

7:46 a.m. - Caller reported a burglary, 580 Main St. Report taken.

11:54 a.m. - Caller reported a human foot sticking out of a trailer parked at Safeway, 1540 Main St. Officer responded and located a person sleeping in the trailer.

12:22 p.m. - Caller reported dogs barking constantly, 1900 block of 12th. Officer unable to contact anyone but would check back later.

4:07 p.m. - Caller found a wallet, 1439 Main St., Rio parking lot. Placed in found property.

5:07 p.m. - Caller reported a vehicle hit the building and left, 1501 Main St., Speedee Mart. Subject returned and exchanged information.

7:22 p.m. - Caller reported that someone started a fire behind 580 Main St., Veterans Club. Fire out by fire extinguisher, but caller requested an officer respond.

Sept. 15

10:10 a.m. - Caller reported a dog running loose, 4900 block of Mimosa. Officer unable to locate dog. Caller said he would take a photo of the dog in the street next time.

11:05 a.m. - Caller reported the theft of medication, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Loss valued at $97.

11:59 a.m. - Caller reported that a dog returned to his yard, and now he has photos of it, 4900 block of Mimosa. Officer responded. Dog placed in kennel. Dog control notified.

6:38 p.m. - Jennifer Dee Russell, 39, cited for keeping a dog as a public nuisance and failure to license dog. Loose dog released to owner.

10:24 p.m. - Linn County Jail cited Gerlinde Spring Lynch, 37, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass.

11:17 p.m. - Jefferson Cantillo Walker, 31, cited for no license and unsignaled lane change, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

11:37 p.m. - Caller reported a subject went into a singlewide trailer near the caller’s residence, 1900 block of Willow. Report taken for trespassing.

Sept. 14

12:03 a.m. - Caller reported people walking around with flashlights in the City Hall parking lot, and homeless people pulled up in a camper and parked on the empty lot next to the Genealogical Library, 12th and Kalmia. Officer contacted a male and female in a motor home. They were parked in a public parking space, but they would move to another parking lot. They were advised to stay off of private property.

3:46 a.m. - Caller reported that a chain securing his front door had been cut, 5300 block of Highway 20. Report taken.

4:26 a.m. - Angel Patricia Geib, 32, cited for illegal parking, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s.

5:19 a.m. - Jacob Manuel, 39, cited for keeping a dog as a public nuisance, 990 23rd Ave. Caller reported a dog barking in the area and keeping the caller awake. Dog was taken indoors.

8:43 a.m. - Caller reported someone broke into her greenhouse, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken for criminal mischief.

8:53 a.m. - Caller reported that his recreational marijuana plants were cut and taken, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken for theft.

9:18 a.m. - Caller reported a vehicle with two people sleeping inside it parked the wrong way, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer contacted female, who would move the vehicle.

1:41 p.m. - Caller reported a car parked in the no-parking area on Foster Dam and two males nearby with what appeared to be spools of rope or wire hanging over the dam. Officer responded and contacted two marine biologists checking the salmon population.

5:35 p.m. - Caller reported a neighbor’s chicken in her yard, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Referred to code enforcement.

6:23 p.m. - Caller reported a dog barking for the past hour, 1300 block of Sunset. Officer unable to locate.

6:51 p.m. - Caller reported two males going through a neighbor’s recycle bins, 900 block of 23rd. Officer contacted the males, advised them of the complaint and told them to move along.

6:51 p.m. - Daniel Anthony Ciullo, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, 900 block of 23rd. Cited and released.

8:27 p.m. - Caller reported that a neighbor has bright lights shining on her house, 1600 block of Ninth. Officer responded and contacted all involved. The neighbor was advised of the complaint, but he said he would not be changing the lights.

Sept. 13

2:28 a.m. - Suzanne Marie Smith, 35, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Main and 22nd. Cited and released.

6:20 p.m. - A woman said that an older blue Mustang pulled into her driveway. The driver said they were there to pick up some of her daughter’s things. The caller told them she did not know anything about it. Report taken.

7:59 a.m. - Caller turned in a wallet found in the roadway, Cedar Street. Placed in found property.

10:56 a.m. - Melissa Ann Dewar, 43, arrested for second-degree theft and three counts of identity theft, 1083 46th Ave. Transported to Linn County Jail.

12:17 p.m. - Matthew James Housen, 44, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, Albany. Cited and released.

12:37 p.m. - Two-vehicle crash, 1900 block of Main. Information exchanged. Damage less than $1,500.

12:43 p.m. - Blaine Orrin Peck, 54, cited for commercial open storage, attractive nuisance and attractive nuisance, public health, freon, 2308 Main St.

2:36 p.m. - Laryssa Jean Cox, 27, turned in herself on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on a citation, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Departmet. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:55 p.m. - Caller reported a bicycle stolen two nights earlier, 1200 block of 23rd. Report taken. Loss valued at $150.

5:40 p.m. - Michelle Rea Lea Bowen, 40, cited by neighbor Margaret Buergey, 67, for keeping a dog as a public nuisance, 4174 Osage St. Caller had reported a neighbor’s dog constantly going into her yard.

7:09 p.m. - Terry Lynn Ballweber, 52, arrested for third-degree theft, 1530 Tamarack. St., Mountain Shadows. Cited and released.

Sept. 12

12:24 a.m. - Caller reported two males doing something weird to a wall, 1200 block of Main. Officer checked area but found nothing suspicious.

6:03 a.m. - Caller reported that neighbor’s dogs were barking and woke him up, 1800 block of Kalmia. Officer responded and heard the dogs bark once when a neighbor walked by.

7:44 a.m. - Stolen bicycle recovered, 1200 block of Long. Caller reported her daughter’s bike was at location. Officer seized an additional bike.

7:49 a.m. - Caller reported a gun on her porch, 100 block of Main. Officer seized stolen firearm.

8:20 a.m. - Two horses were running down the road, 28900 block of Pleasant Valley Rd.

8:37 a.m. - Caller reported being scammed out of $2,200 online, 1500 block of Tamarack. Report taken.

9:32 a.m. - Caller reported that someone keyed his motor home, 1100 block of 32nd. Information noted.

10:23 a.m. - Caller reported trash in a neighbor’s yard, 4200 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.

2:12 p.m. - Caller reported that someone paid with two fraudulent checks, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s Hardware. Report taken.

3:58 p.m. - Caller discovered two fraudulent charges through Western Union on her bank account. The bank removed the charges and closed the account. Caller advised to monitor other accounts for suspicious activity. Information noted.

6:22 p.m. - Caller reported a car hit a fence and left, 1200 block of Fourth. Report taken.

10:31 p.m. - Amy Danielle Ward, 33, arrested for resisting arrest and unlawful use of a stun gun or mace, 1337 Tamarack St. Caller had reported her sisters spraying her son with mace and refusing to leave. Cited and released.

10:52 p.m. - Caller reported a male sneaking around U-Haul trucks, 250 Main St. Report taken for criminal mischief.

11:52 p.m. - Cameron Michael Wark, 27, cited for driving uninsured and expired tags, Main and 15th.

Sept. 11

4:55 p.m. - Brandon John Cassidy Kirby, 23, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of providing false information to a police officer, 200 block of 10th. Cited and released.

Sept. 9

5:06 p.m. - Caller said a lawnmower and tools were taken from building sometime during the night, 40700 block of Upper Calapooia. Report taken.

Sept. 8

1:50 p.m. - Caller found a cell phone in the middle of the road, 30300 block of Sodaville Mountain Home Rd.

Sept. 7

9:32 p.m. - Caller said his wallet was taken from his vehicle at Holley Christian Church. Report taken.
