Oct. 29

1:21 a.m. - Veronica Sue Szuch, 20, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation and Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of theft, 1825 Long St. Cited and released.

1:41 a.m. - Officer located a female lying on the sidewalk, 4199 Main St., Storage Depot. Medical assistance requested.

2:47 a.m. - Jacob Lynn Goodwin, 21, arrested on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

8:29 a.m. - Caller reported someone stole two firearms from his vehicle, 200 block of Osage. Report taken. Loss valued at $1,410.

Oct. 28

1:05 a.m. - Gyula Incze, 40, cited for driving uninsured and failure to register vehicle, 12th and Main. Vehicle impounded.

9:14 a.m. - Caller reported items taken from his grandson’s vehicle, 400 block of West Pine. Report taken. Loss valued at $400.

9:18 a.m. - Quentin Wyatt Quadros, 18, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, old mill property. Cited and released.

9:19 a.m. - Caller reported two dogs have been outside whining for several days, 700 block of Main. Officer contacted owner, who said they just moved in and the puppy is getting used to the new property. She said she would take the dog inside and work on other options.

10:51 a.m. - Alyssa Renee Wright, 25, arrested on Salem warrant for failure to appear on original charge of failure to carry and preent a license, 700 block of Main. Cited and released.

11:47 a.m. - Stolen vehicle recovered, 28100 block of Pleasant Valley.

12:22 p.m. - David Duane Phillips, 61, arrested on Sweet home warrant for misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

12:33 p.m. - Caller reported a car parked in the street for more than two weeks, 1900 block of Kalmia. Vehicle posted for removal.

1:30 p.m. - Darrell George Berrigan, 44, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

2:03 p.m. - Caller reported that someone walked out of the store with a cart full of product, 1540 Main St., Safeway. The subject left the cart and ran when caught. Report taken. Items valued at $303.53.

2:08 p.m. - Caller located a stolen bicycle, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows.

4:40 p.m. - Caller reported four vehicles parked for more than a year, 900 block of Cedar. Referred to code enforcement.

4:57 p.m. - Caller reported a stray dog, 1400 block of Elm. Dog placed in kennel. Dog control advised.

7:05 p.m. - Caller reported a dog barking for a couple of hours, 700 block of Eighth. Officer advised owner of the complaint. The owner took the dog in for the evening.

7:26 p.m. - Caller reported someone entered her locked bedroom and took her computer, 1200 block of 44th. Report taken.

7:58 p.m. - Landon Frank Gerard, 40, turned in himself on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief and failure to appear on original charge of offensive littering, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

8:49 p.m. - Catherine Estelle Smith, 57, cited for driving while suspended, Highway 20 Church of Christ.

9:56 a.m. - Daniel Joseph Carrico, 32, turned in himself on a Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft and Sweet Home warrant for contempt of court seeking punitive sanctions, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

11:32 a.m. - Caller reported that trailers can be seen from the road, 1200 block of 22nd. Referred to code enforcement.

11:34 a.m. - Caller reported a trailer in the yard, 500 block of Mountain View. Referred to code enforcement.

11:35 a.m. - Caller reported a trailer visible from the road, 300 block of Mountain View. Referred to code enforcement.

12:09 p.m. - Caller reported a trailer parked over the sidewalk, 500 block of Seventh. Officer responded.

12:13 p.m. - Caller reported a truck parked on the side of the road with expired tags, 800 block of Seventh. Officer responded.

12:15 p.m. - Caller reported a trailer parked on the street, 600 block of Sixth. Officer responded.

12:16 p.m. - Caller reported a trailer parked on the street, 600 block of Eighth. Officer responded.

1:30 p.m. - Caller reported a van parked for more than a month, 13th and Quince. Officer responded. Posted van.

2:45 p.m. - Lisa Beth Richards, 48, arrested for third-degree theft and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Cited and released.

3:59 p.m. - Caller reported his shotgun stolen, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken.

4:46 p.m. - Caller reported a dog defecated on her bushes, 4600 block of Long. Officer warned the owner for keeping a dog as a public nuisance.

6:39 p.m. - Caller reported a dog had been barking all day long, 700 block of Eighth. Officer responded. Quiet upon arrival.

11:01 p.m. - Daniel Anthony Ciullo, 29, arrested on Sweet home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft by Oregon State Police. The arrest was entered into the log late, from Oct. 26.

Oct. 26

7:34 a.m. - Caller reported two bicycles stolen, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken. Loss valued at $100.

7:49 a.m. - Caller reported a dog running loose, 1800 block of Grape. Officer located dog on a porch, but it would not let the officer near it.

11:13 a.m. - Multiple students reported a fight in the cafeteria, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home Police Department. Both students warned for disorderly conduct. Discipline to be handled by the school.

11:42 a.m. - Breanna Marie Mansell, 23, arrested on Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, 400 block of Main. Cited and released.

1:55 p.m. - Lisa Marlana Rivers, 45, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and on a citation. Cited and released.

2:25 p.m. - Caller reported that someone entered his vehicle during the night, 800 block of 28th. Report taken.

2:29 p.m. - Ariel Shanea Kaping, 23, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of theft of lost or mislaid property, Linn County. Cited and released.

4:31 p.m. - Caller reported his wife has dementia and left the house while he was asleep, 1200 block of 41st. Second caller reported an elderly female who looked confused and was asking for directions. Officer located female and reunited her with her husband.

4:54 p.m. - Caller reported two unsupervised children playing in the road, 5300 block of Poplar. Officer contacted their mother, who said it was a mistake that she left the children there by themselves. Officer counseled her on her actions.

5:55 p.m. - Caller reported her cell phone stolen, 600 block of Fourth. Report taken. Loss valued at $40.

Oct. 25

8:30 a.m. - Caller reported a dead fir tree that needed to be evaluated by the Tree Commission, 600 block of Oak Terrace. Referred to code enforcement.

9:58 a.m. - Caller reported that a sidewalk is a trip hazard due to a large tree, 600 block of Fourth. Referred to code enforcement.

10:51 a.m. - Caller reported receiving two complaints about a male dressed in camouflage and hiding in the bushes near Sweet Home High School, 1641 Long St. Officer unable to locate.

11:02 a.m. - Ronald Ray Nipp, 78, cited for unsignaled turn and driving uninsured, 15th and Main.

2:46 p.m. - Caller reported a boat parked in a front yard for more than two weeks, 1100 block of Elm. Referred to code enforcement.

2:52 p.m. - Caller reported his cell phone and charger stolen, 1500 block of Main.

4:13 p.m. - Caller reported a stray dog, 600 block of Fourth. Dog placed in kennel. Dog control advised.

5:32 p.m. - Caller reported that her house had been egged for the second time, 900 block of 14th. Report taken.

6:10 p.m. - Caller reported a neighbor’s child kicked her cat, 4600 block of Main. Officer contacted the child and his mother. He admitted to the act. Child counseled.

7:05 p.m. - Caller found a stray dog, Holley Road. Officer responded and placed dog on back porch. Linn County Sheriff’s Office advised.

10:01 p.m. - Caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked in front of her house, 1500 block of 52nd. Officer contacted the registered owner of the vehicle. The owner was just passing through and stopped there to sleep. Officer asked the subject to move along.

Oct. 24

2:53 a.m. - Kristopher Scott Clark, 25, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of third-degree theft and probation violation, 18th and Yucca. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.

6:32 a.m. - Caller reported a male sleeping in the lobby, 1303 Long St., Sweet Home Post Office. Officer responded. The male had already left. Caller requested the male be trespassed. Officer planning to watch for the male to trespass him.

6:50 a.m. - Caller reported a subject sleeping in the doorway, 3031 Main St., Sweet Home Gleaners. Officer contacted the subject, and he moved on.

8:53 a.m. - Caller reported finding a purple gym bag in the gazebo, Sankey Park. Officer responded. The property appeared to have been pulled from a garbage can just to make a mess. Parks personnel disposed of the property.

11:08 a.m. - Caller reported that a neighbor’s dogs are running loose again because they left their gate open. Officer contacted owner, who advised the dogs had not been outside.

1:10 p.m. - Caller reported a car taken from the car lot, 1801 Main St., All-Star Auto. Report taken.

2:12 p.m. - Caller reported trailer ramps in the street, 700 block of Elm. Referred to code enforcement.

3:12 p.m. - Caller said he believes there was a transient camp set up near the Water Treatment Plant, near 1500 47th Ave. The caller could see a vehicle and blue tarp in the woods. Officer located an abandoned vehicle and a camp that also appeared long-abandoned. Officer planned to contact the registered owner of the vehicle.

4:58 p.m. - Caller reported a suspicious vehicle had been parked for four days, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Officer unable to contact registered owner. If unable to contact owner by the following day, then the vehicle was to be posted for removal.

8:31 p.m. - Caller reported his bicycle rims stolen, 1800 block of Vine. Report taken. Loss valued at $150.

9:36 p.m. - Caller reported that a juvenile stole meat, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.

Oct. 23

2:35 p.m. - Caller turned in keys she found around Liberty Road. Placed in found property.

3:22 p.m. - Caller reported that she has a restraining against a male who sent two males to her residence while he waited in his vehicle, 2200 block of Long. Report taken.

3:52 p.m. - Linn County dispatch reported a 9-1-1 hang-up call, 1300 block of 47th. The dispatcher tried to call back. Someone picked up the phone and then hung up. The dispatcher could hear a male yelling in the background. Officer responded. Report taken for first-degree burglary, second-degree robbery and third-degree assault. Investigation continuing.

4:09 p.m. - Caller reported that someone tried to run another subject over with a vehicle and said the subject had a rifle, 3700 block of Green River. Report taken for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, fourth-degree assault, failure to perform the duties of a driver to an injured person and reckless driving.

11:52 p.m. - Officer located a male who had been hit by a car and may have had a broken arm, 3200 block of Main. Male refused to go to the hospital and moved along. A car had swerved toward the male, who was riding a bike. The vehicle never hit the male, but it caused him to fall from the bicycle.
