Christmas Cheer

December 6, 2016

Ken Johnston uses an axe to chop portions of a Yule log at the Christmas Parade Saturday morning. His daughter, Beth Jackson, assisted. The Sweet Home Parade Committee and Cedar Shack made the popcorn log to return an old Sweet Home Christmas tradition. Children and their parents gathered in the Key Bank parking lot for a piece of the log following the Saturday Christmas parade. For more on the parade and festivities.

Auctioneer Jeremy Powell sells decorated Christmas trees Saturday evening during the Sweet Home Alumni Association’s Trees for Scholarships auction, which drew a record crowd that spent record dollars.
