Georgia Joan Dugger died Jan. 10, 2017.

She was born Feb. 22, 1934 in Rogue River.

Mrs. Dugger had a 30-year career as a library and teacher’s aide in the Sweet Home School District.

She received awards for her work and dedication from the Foster Grandparent Program.

She donated books to the Lebanon Library and the Oregon Veterans Home and installed the Talking Book program for residents of Century Fields/Brookdale, where she moved in the summer of 2008.

Her motto was “Never put off tomorrow what you can read today.”

Survivors include her sister Donna, of Christmas Valley; brother Bob Strahan of Montague, Calif.; friend Eldon; children Terry, David, Connie, Rick, Jerry, Hal and Ray; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Connie, David and Ray are Sweet Home residents.

A memorial is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 4751 Astoria St. NE Salem. A light luncheon will be served. To RSVP, contact Terry at (503) 871-6100.
