Girls look at Sisters after two losses

Continuing to struggle on offense, the Sweet Home High School girls varsity basketball team lost 75-23 at Elmira Jan. 24 and 58-13 at home against Sutherlin Friday.

The two games wrapped up the first round of league play for the Huskies. They’ll start the second half of league Friday at home against Sisters, a team that Coach Dave McNeil believes his team can beat this time around.

Sisters beat the Huskies 21-13 on the road, but the Huskies were severely shorthanded that night.

Going into the second half of the season, “I’m pretty happy with our help-side defense,” McNeil said....
