SH golfers’ success in openers comes at individual level

Sweet Home's boys golfers opened their season Tuesday, March 14, with scramble-format season-opening tournament at Mallard Creek.

Playing best ball against pairs from seven other schools – Cascade, Cottage Grove, Junction City, Lebanon, Newport, Oakridge and Stayton, junior Jake Hindmarsh and freshman Travis Thorpe finished third with a team score of 74. Junior Seth Wright and sophomore Jackson Lynn were 12th 86.

On Friday, March 16, the Huskies played at Bandon Crossings Invitational, finishing last in a field of eight teams using regular tournament scoring.
