Egg hunts offered throughout east county this weekend

A variety of Easter Egg hunts are breing offered for the children of the Lebanon and Sweet Home communities and the surrounding areas.

Saturday, April 15

- 10 a.m. The Sweet Home Elks Lodge will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 440 Osage St.

The event is open to children age 6 and under.

- 11 a.m. The 26th annual Sweet Home Easter Egg Hunt will be at Sankey Park, 877 14th Ave

The hunt is open to kids 10 years old and younger. The Easter bunny, Sweet Home Rotary Club members, the Sportsman’s Holiday Court and the Sweet Home Junior High Interact club will hide over 3,000 candy filled eggs. A number of eggs will contain special prizes from A&W and McDonalds.

The park will be divided into separate egg hunting areas for different age groups. The event is sponsored by the Sweet Home Rotary Club.

Sunday, April 16

- 9 a.m. Fairview Community Church in Lebanon will hold a community breakfast and Easter egg hunt before their morning worship service at 10:45, on Sunday, April 16. 5,000 Easter Eggs are hid around the church.

- 9 a.m. First United Methodist Church in Lebanon will serve breakfast and then host an egg hunt at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 16, at 1890 S 2nd St.

- 1 p.m. The Lebanon Jaycees will hold their annual Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, at Century Park in Lebanon for children up to 12 years old.

Tuesday, April 18

- The Brownsville Library along with Parents and Pals will host an egg hunt and storytime at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers accompanied by an adult.

Participants will first listen to a story in the Brownsville Community Library, then decorate a special bag, hunt for plastic eggs in the Library park and turn them in for a treat.
