Two meets in three days bring out new records for Huskies

Bethany Gingerich and Dana Hiett were the sole winners for Sweet Home Saturday, April 8, at the Junction City Invitational track meet.

Gingerich won the 200 and 400 and Hiett took first in the triple jump as the girls placed seventh out of 11 teams in the meet.

Sweet Home’s lack of depth has been furthered by the sudden transfer of senior Trey Reed to Scio. Reed won both the 200 and 400 on Saturday. The Husky boys finished fourth as a team, with 637 points behind Junction City (969), Siuslaw (690) and Scio (689.5).
