Huskies second in tight league baseball race after split with Elmira

Sweet Home split a doubleheader in baseball with Elmira, winning 7-5 and losing 7-5, May 2 on the road.

The Huskies are 8-4 in league and 13-5 overall and in second place in the Sky-Em League after the games. With 7-5 records, Cottage Grove is tied with Junction City for third place, while Sisters is in first place with a record of 11-1. Sisters has lost just one game all year – to Cottage Grove.

Elmira is 2-10 and in fifth place, and Sutherlin, 1-11, is sixth.
