Sweet Home’s volleyball team dispatched Elmira 25-12, 25-14, 25-7 on Thursday, Sept. 14, in their Sky-Em League opener.

“The girls played great,” Coach Mary Hutchins said. “We used some different line-ups and gave kifds opportunities to get some time at different positions.”

Individual statistics were not available.

Sweet Home (4-1, 1-0) will be on the road this week, at Junction City (3-7, 0-1 after a 3-0 loss to Sutherlin) and then at Sisters (8-2, 1-0) on Thursday before competing in the Sisters Tournament Saturday.

“We have a challenging week ahead,” Hutchins said.
