Some county wetland designations based on faulty data, federal official says

The method Linn County planners use to determine the location of wetlands is at odds with recommendations of state and federal agencies, according to a U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service official.

A wetland designation affects land use and building permits and can require that a property owner pay for wetlands mitigation.
