Girls 2nd to N. Bend in face-off of top swim teams; boys 3rd

Sweet Home’s girls finished second behind North Bend Saturday at the Lebanon Invitational, where the Huskies scored 81 points, well behind their perennial competitors at state, who finished with 125.

Behind them were three 5A Division teams: Bend (62), Lebanon (27) and South Albany (13).

The boys finished third with 55 points, behind North Bend (111) and Lebanon (86).

Depth was definitely an issue for Sweet Home, especially the boys, who were without one of their best sprinters, Stewart Curtis. The boys got their only individual wins from Rawlins Lupoli in the 200 Individual Medley an...
