Safety Fair reverts back to earlier date; to be held this Saturday

A YOUNG Safety Fair visitor meets McGruff the Crime Dog at a recent Safety Fair as Sweet Home Police Community Services Officer Gina Riley watches. This year's fair will be Saturday at the Sweet Home Police Department.

That bag of mail with sensitive personal information you couldn't find time to shred over the past year, you can toss it Saturday.

If your kids' heads grew or they've cracked a helmet over the past year, free helmets are available Saturday.

Linn-Co Federal Credit Union is providing shredder truck service at the 11th Annual Jim Bean Public Safety Fair, and the Sweet Home Police Department, with support from the Santiam Spokes Bicycle Club, is giving away new bike helmets to children.

The Safety Fair returns to June this year and runs from 9 a.m. to noon at the Sweet Home Police Department...
