Nov. 30

3:32 a.m. - Earl Ryan Dodge, 24, arrested on Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree theft and possession of burglary tools and cited for defective taillights, 1200 block of Nandina St. Cited and released.

Nov. 29

7:37 a.m. - Caller reported that someone was sleeping under a tarp next to her house, 1000 block of 14th. Officer responded. The male under the tarp was the caller’s ex. The caller was fine with him being there for the time being.

7:38 a.m. - Deputies conducted a death investigation, 42400 block of Bennett Lane. Nothing suspicious.

9:26 a.m. - Kevin Ray Porter, 48, turned in himself on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

9:34 a.m. - Caller did not want to speak to an officer but reported a neighbor fired a pistol the previous evening, 1100 block of 46th. Information documented.

9:43 a.m. - Charas Lelainia Blanco, 45, turned in herself on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

10:03 a.m. - Caller reported a male sleeping against the back of a building, 1300 block of Long. Caller did not want him trespassed, just to leave. Officer responded and contacted a female who had already been trespassed but was under the impression it was the property next door. She agreed to gather her belongings and leave.


10:57 a.m. - Krystal Lee Cowger, 26, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of fourth-degree assault, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

3:04 p.m. - James Leroy Salvador, 27, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of resisting arrest, Salem.

3:06 p.m. - Caller reported that her ex was violating a no-contact order, 800 block of 4th. Officer advised caller of her options. Information to be forwarded to the district attorney.

3:13 p.m. - Caller reported that someone used a counterfeit $50 bill, 1306 Main St., Main Street Market. Report taken. Bill seized.

7:05 p.m. - Caller reported a male had been calling her, and she told him to stop, 41900 block of North River. The male continued calling. Deputy told the male to stop calling her or he would be arrested.

11:42 p.m. - Steven Allen Jones, 30, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of felon in possession of a restricted weapon, Linn County.

Nov. 28

4:49 a.m. - Erika Renee Driver, 20, arrested on Marion County warrant for possession of heroin, 320 W. Pine St. Cited and released.

11:14 a.m. - Caller reported a male sleeping in the bus stop, 13th and Kalmia. Officer contacted a female, who agreed to move on.

5 p.m. - Caller reported that her phone was taken a day earlier by a female, 1300 block of Sunset. Report taken. Loss valued at $200.

5:47 p.m. - Caller reported hearing a female screaming, 1000 block of 46th. Second caller reported a male deceased behind a house. Officer conducted a death investigation.

6:51 p.m. - Caller reported a neighbor’s dog was barking and continually barks till 3 a.m. Officer responded. Dogs only barked when the officer drove through the alley. No other dogs were barking in the area.

9:10 p.m. - A 15-year-old juvenile and a 16-year-old juvenile referred for minor in possession of alcohol, former mill property off Green River. Juveniles released to parents. Caller had reported multiple vehicles on the property. Officer responded and trespassed an adult male from the property.


11:41 p.m. - David Russell Coats, 36, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended and failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Deschutes County.

Nov. 27

7:33 a.m. - Officer located a vehicle with switched plates. Plates seized.

8:39 a.m. - Caller reported a bicycle had been left in the bushes, 2400 block of Main. Bike placed in found property.

8:40 a.m. - Caller reported a fifth-wheel trailer had been parked on the street for a year, 16th near Elm. Posted for removal.

11:58 a.m. - Caller reported that his vehicle had been stolen two nights earlier, 1200 block of 12th. Report taken.

12:59 p.m. - Caller reported that a female continues to call him after he asked her to stop, 3100 block of Main. Officer contacted the female and advised her to stop calling the caller.

3:14 p.m. - Officer recovered a stolen vehicle, 300 W. Holley Road, Stonebrook Apartments.

10:45 p.m. - Caller reported a dog howling and whining, 3rd and Juniper. Response delayed due to another call. Officer responded to the area, which was quiet upon arrival.

Nov. 26

4:26 a.m. - Caller reported a brown pit bull was nearly hit while walking in the roadway. Highway 228 at the city limits. Officer checked the area. Unable to locate.

6:38 a.m. - Laryssa Jean Cox, 29, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Main and Highway 228.

7:01 a.m. - Caller found a credit card, 800 block of Main. Placed in found property.

8:51 a.m. - Calvin Alvin Ames, 52, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief and Albany warrant for contempt of court, 1188 55th Ave. Cited and released.

10:04 a.m. - Daniel Joseph Browand, 24, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Jail.

11:12 a.m. - Caller reported receiving two fictitious reports from SafeOregon, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Reports were submitted by a couple of high school students. They were warned for improper use of an emergency communications system. The school will handle discipline.


11:34 a.m. - Two callers reported a crash, 12th and Osage. No injuries. Officer assisted with exchange of information.

1:11 p.m. - Caller reported her son took her debit card, 2700 block of Juniper. Report taken. Loss valued at $284.

3:51 p.m. - Albany Police Department recovered a vehicle reported stolen out of Sweet Home.

4:15 p.m. - Single-vehicle crash off Marks Ridge Road. Unknown occupant.

5:02 p.m. - Brandon Scott Schatz, 29, arrested on a parole and probation warrant for probation violation, 1500 block of Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

7:57 p.m. - Caller reported receiving a counterfeit $100 bill, 890 Main St., Dutch Bros. Report taken.

9:49 p.m. - Shelby Keith Brigham, 52, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for third-degree theft and failure to comply on original charge of failure to report as a sex offender, Lebanon. Cited and released.

Nov. 25

11:51 a.m. - Caller reported the theft of a firearm from an unlocked vehicle, 800 block of Oak Terrace. Report taken. Loss valued at $380.

1:22 p.m. - Caller reported the theft of 112 pounds of meat and 34.7 pounds of turkey from a freezer, 3031 Main St., Sweet Home Gleaners. Report taken.

7:25 p.m. - Officer located a damaged traffic sign, 1303 Long St., Sweet Home Post Office. Report taken.

7:32 p.m. - Stacey Diane Stafford, 46, arrested on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of placing an offensive substance in water, on the highway or on property, 1303 Long St., Sweet Home Post Office. Cited and released because Linn County Jail had no beds available for females.

9:40 p.m. - Drug detection dog alerted to meth and a pipe, 12th and Nandina.
