Frances Marie Larsen, 87, longtime resident of Sweet Home, recently of Lebanon, died Jan. 18, 2019. She was born March 11, 1931 in Burbank, Okla. to Dewit T. and Maggie Olive (Lee) Hiner.
She was raised in Oklahoma and Texas. She moved to Oregon in the 1950s, to Elkton during the '70s after which she lived in Sweet Home for 30 years before moving to Lebanon.
Mrs. Larsen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a homemaker. She also owned and operated a lapidary shop and was a vendor at trade shows.
She loved to cook, can, flowers and gardening. She really loved to play cards with her neighbors. She was an Arizona snowbird.
Mrs. Larsen is survived by daughters Bonnie Keeler of Dewitt, Mich., Elvina Pechar of Lebanon, and Pamela Adams of Sweet Home; daughter-in-law Kathie Larsen of Elkton; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl J. Larsen, in 2008; sons Carl "Shorty" Larsen in 1995, Daniel E. Larsen in 2008; and grandson Caleb G. Larsen in 2005.
A private family graveside service was held at Gilliland Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice. 4600 Evergreen Place S.E., Albany, Oregon 97321.
