Track athletes off to a fast start, racking up 24 PRs

Some Sweet Home’s track and field athletes got off to a fast start as they opened their season against South Salem, Blanchet and Crosshill Christian Thursday, March 21, at the Saxon Icebreaker, hosted by South Salem.

The Huskies had 17 personal bests on the boys side, among athletes who’ve competed at the high school level previously, and seven on the girls.

“They did really good,” Coach Dakotah Keys said. “We had a lot of new freshmen, who did really good. They stepped up to the challenge.”
