March 29

12:55 p.m. - Caller reported an elderly male was scammed out of money in a phone and computer scam, 41600 block of Northside Drive. Report taken.

March 28

12:12 a.m. - Caller reported a male standing outside the bar trying to fight people, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Officer contacted the male and advised him to leave the area.

7:29 a.m. - Caller reported a male and female sleeping behind the building, 780 Long St., Santiam Chiropractic Clinic. Two subjects notified they were trespassed.

8:58 a.m. - Cody Isaiah Milligan, 22, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of fourth-degree assault and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of minor in possession and probation violation, 18th and Tamarack. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.

9:27 a.m. - Kevin Wayne Johnston arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Lebanon.

11:43 a.m. - Caller reported a female smashed out a headlight in the caller’s car with a crowbar, 5th and Juniper. Caller did not know who the female was. Report taken.

1:39 p.m. - Natalia Arroyo, 18, missed court and turned herself in on a warrant for failure to appear on original charge of hit and run, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

3:05 p.m. - William Nicholas Holstein, 50, arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), strangulation and violation of a restraining order, 4901 Osage St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:08 p.m. - Officer found a bag off clothing in the middle of the street, 3200 block of Highway 20. Placed in found property.

3:19 p.m. - Priscilla Vanderark, 43, missed court and turned herself in on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

3:38 p.m. - Caller reported two dogs running loose, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Officer unable to locate any dogs.

4:17 p.m. - Caller reported a big black dog with no tags followed the caller home, 1200 block of Nandina. Dog returned to owner.

9 p.m. - Alexis Marie Pickle, 17, cited for following too closely, 4100 block of Main.

March 27

10:20 a.m. - Caller reported that it appeared someone may have tried to start a building on fire, 1300 block of Long. Officer contacted. Information noted.

4:56 p.m. - Levi Bransom, 25, cited for violation of city ordinance, keeping a dog as a public nuisance, 4000 block of Clark Mill. Caller had reported a dog killing her chickens.

5:52 p.m. - Caller reported a minor crash in a parking lot and the other driver left, 2000 block of Main. Report taken.

6:14 p.m. - Caller reported a male was violating his own restraining order by being within 50 feet of the caller, 3134 Main St., South Fork manufactured home park. Information noted.

8:58 p.m. - Caller found a chainsaw in the road, 1st and Highway 228. Chainsaw returned to owner.

10 p.m. - Caller reported a vehicle did a burnout and threw rocks up at her car, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Information noted. Officers to watch for the vehicle.

March 26

2:20 a.m. - Caller reported a neighbor’s dog had been barking for an hour and believed the dog may have been in distress, 800 block of 8th. Officer responded. Everything quiet upon arrival. Officer unable to locate any suspicious activity.

4:37 am. - Laryssa Jean Cox, 29, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation on original charge of second-degree theft, 1301 Main St., Speedee Mart. Caller had reported a male looking inside a vehicle and acting suspiciously. Officer responded and contacted three subjects who were using the free wifi. They were advised of the complaint and agreed to leave.

8 a.m. - Marcus Wesley Hesson, 47, arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant for probation violation, 2424 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

1:24 p.m. - Caller reported a dog sounded like it was in distress for more than an hour, 1100 block of 4th. Officer located a dog that did not appear distressed. The dog was on a slightly tangled chain but wouldn’t let the officer get close. Officer left a business card for the owner and notified the caller.

6:44 p.m. - Amanda Leah Binks, 26, arrested for second-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

7:19 p.m. - Caller reported a black Lab running loose and chasing people, 900 block of Elm. Officer unable to locate.

8:11 p.m. - Ryan Joseph Hutchinson, 31, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree escape and failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth and Lebanon warrant for probation violation and failure to appear, 37th and Long. Caller had reported that a minivan was swerving back and forth and then stopped, blocking two lanes. Officer located a vehicle that had run out of fuel.

8:40 p.m. - Caller reported two dogs barking as if injured, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Officer unable to locate any barking dogs.

10:47 p.m. - Michael Joseph Cornish, 50, cited for driving while suspended, Main and 22nd.

March 25

12:27 a.m. - Austin Jones, 22, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree criminal mischief, Marion County.

2:49 a.m. - Lisa Jones, 57, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation and original charge of possession of meth, and Karen Davenport, 54, cited for driving while suspended and failure to carry proof of insurance, 46th and Main.

9:56 a.m. - Theodore Shinall, 41, cited and released in field on Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court for nonpayment, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

10:17 a.m. - Caller reported a battery taken from the front of his RV, 1200 block of Evergreen. Report taken. Loss valued at $40.

10:22 a.m. - Officer posted for removal two vehicles that had been parked for weeks, 2200 block of Ironwood.

10:29 a.m. - Officer posted for removal vehicles that had been parked for an extended period, 900 block of 23rd.

11:36 a.m. - David Gruwell, 52, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal trespass and Albany warrants for failure to appear on two original charges of second-degree criminal trespass, 1600 block of Long.

12:12 p.m. - Caller found a smart phone in a U-Haul, 250 Main St., OK Country Feed. Placed in found property.

12:31 p.m. - Caller reported a theft, 3031 Main St., Sweet Home Gleaners. Information noted. Items returned.

3:36 p.m. - Joshua Kealohanui Ben Leslie, 31, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, Main and Highway 228. Cited and released.

9:01 p.m. - Caller reported a customer trying to walk out without paying for groceries, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Property valued at $100.

9:27 p.m. - Steven A. Jones cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of felon in possession of a weapon, Lebanon.

March 24

12:37 a.m. - Kevin Williams, 45, arrested for driving under the influence, Main and Osage. Vehicle impounded.

7:55 a.m. - A park ranger at Clear Lake Resort reported someone damaged the roll-up door on the generator shed. A 1-gallon fuel can may have been stolen. Damage estimated at $1,000. Report taken.

1:20 p.m. - Caller reported a male stealing change, Rio Theatre. Repot taken. Loss valued at $5.50.

6:13 p.m. - Caller reported that a female was writing fraudulent checks on his account.

6:55 p.m. - Scott Hall arrested on warrants for four counts of failure to appear on various charges, 27900 block of Riggs Hill Road.

8:59 p.m. - Bradley John Becker, 32, cited for no license – no motorcycle endorsement, 4900 block of Mimosa.

10:22 p.m. - James Tidwell, 60, arrested on Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court and cited for driving while suspended, Main and 45th.

March 23

12:25 p.m. - Christopher Meredith, 31, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree theft, 1000 block of 1st. Callers had reported males going onto people’s property then taking bags of cans. Cans returned to owner.

5:42 p.m. - Amanda Binks, 26, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, and Brittny Ann Gibson, 30, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth, Lebanon warrant for probation violation and contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft and Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 3702 Long St., Church of Christ. Gibson transported to Linn County Jail.

March 22

11:07 a.m. - Caller reported his mountain bike stolen, 2400 block of Harding. Bicycle had already been recovered. Bicycle returned to owner.

11:11 a.m. - Caller reported two dogs running loose, 1937 Main St., Dollar General. Officer unable to locate.

12:47 p.m. - Caller brought in a pop can filled with used syringes that had been left sitting in front of the store, 1937 Main St., Dollar General. Officer disposed of them.

2:08 p.m. - Gaylynn Wagner (AKA Estep), 49, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon.

2:25 p.m. - Caller reported that a pontoon boat had been parked on the street for a week, 300 block of Taylor Creek Drive. Officer contacted the owner, who had just gotten it out of storage three days earlier to paint it. The owner said it would be moved by that night.

3:31 p.m. - Caller found a bicycle in the bushes, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Placed in found property.

5:27 p.m. - Caller reported that two dogs killed her cat, 900 block of Oak Terrace. The dogs were in her driveway. Officer responded. The cat was a stray. The dogs were gone upon officer arrival.

8:36 p.m. - Caller reported a female leaving without paying for fuel, 890 Main St., Towne Pump. Report taken. Loss valued at $10.
