Huskies come off rough week in baseball to beat Philomath

The Sweet Home baseball team smacked into a roadblock last week, losing its series against Cascade two games to one.

The Huskies opened the week with a 2-1 win at home April 22, lost 18-5 on the road April 24 and lost 7-6 Thursday at home.

A 12-4 win at Sisters Monday, April 29, pushed Sweet Home ahead of Philomath (9-4), into second place in the Oregon West Conference with a 10-3 record behind Newport (12-1) is in first place.

The Huskies are scheduled to host Sisters at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and travel to Sisters Thursday. They will finish the regular season in a three-game series with N...
