Husky boys second at Meet of Champions, held at Husky Field

Sweet Home hosted its first full Meet of Champions ever Saturday and it was a good day.

The meet drew 34 teams, most from west of the Cascades, and all from 1A through 4A schools, for a total of just under 400 competitors, all of whom had to qualify to get into the meet.

"I think it was a great turnout," said Coach Dakotah Keys. "Really, what we want is to allow kids to have best opportunity to perform well at the end of the season, have it really be an easy experience for the coaches. That's what we're trying to create. I think we did it."
