June 19, 2019

Patsy Sue Lamb Currey, 83, of Sweet Home, went to be with our Lord June 6, 2019.

She was born July 23, 1935 in Hamilton, Texas, to Oliver and Ovella Lamb. When she was 5, she and her younger sister, and their parents, moved to California, where she grew up. She graduated from Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, Calif. in 1953.

She met Robert Currey while working at Northrop Aerospace and they were married in 1958.

Patsy became a stay-at-home mom for their two children, Cheryl Currey Bartlett and Keith Currey, both now of Sweet Home.

The Currey family moved to Sweet Home in 1975. Patsy worked for the Sweet Home School District for about 18 years.

She and Bob loved to go south for the winter. She loved to go shopping with her granddaughters and spending time with her grandson. One of her favorite activities was traveling to Alaska to see her daughter.

Patsy enjoyed her birds immensely, and just sitting and having coffee with her son. She was a very spirited lady, always dressed to a T, but very loving.

Patsy is survived by her sister Merna and brother-in-law Phil Seitz of Palos Verdes, Calif.; daughter Cheryl and son-in-law Dennis Bartlett of Sweet Home; son Keith and daughter-in-law Lori Currey of Sweet Home; grandson John Scott II; granddaughters Hanna Connelly, Katy Fern and Natalie Currey; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Bob.

A memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at New Life in Christ Church (formerly Sweet Home Mennonite Church), 1266 44th Ave.
