The new “blues” of the Sweet Home Police Department have been put to work.

New pants, hats and short-sleeve year-round shirts for the men, and slacks and short-sleeve blouses for the women are now standard wear for the city’s police force.

Nearing the end of their planned three-month, 15,000-mile motorcycle trip throughout the continental United States, the Gill Thompson family reported this week that they had just entered Montana from Yellowstone national park and had only Idaho and Washington left to visit.
