Nate Virtue to play in All-Star football classic

NATE VIRTUE, here hauling in a pass against Banks last season, has been named to play in the annual East West All-Star Football Game.

Sweet Home High School graduate Nate Virtue will play in the annual East West All-Star Football Game Aug. 3 in Baker City.

The Shriners host all-star football players from the 1A through the 4A each year to benefit the patients of the Shriners Hospital for Children. Prior to traveling to Baker City, players will visit the Portland Shrine Hospital.

Virtue played wide receiver, offensive linebacker and running back at SHHS. As a senior on offense, he had 31 receptions, 665 yards and 10 touchdowns. On defense, he had 64 solo tackles, 24 assists, 11.5 sacks, 23 tackles for loss, four forced f...
