Diane Gaye Yunker Green passed away on June 29, 2019 after a two-year battle with cancer.

She had recently celebrated her 51st wedding anniversary with her husband, Karl Green. They shared three sons and two grandchildren.

Diane was born in Salem, the daughter of Carl and Mary-Lois Yunker, and grew up in Sweet Home.

She graduated from Western Oregon University with a bachelor's degree in education. Diane was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. As a teacher in the Centennial School District for over 30 years, primarily at Harold Oliver Middle School, she touched many children's lives, teaching art, English and drama.

Diane was an incredible artist who never stopped learning as well as sharing her talent by teaching art classes to her friends in her retirement.

She was an exceptional pianist as well. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband Karl and playing in their pinochle group.

They split their retirement living in Arizona and Oregon.

Diane was fiercely loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Karl; sons Randy, Ryan and Rick; daughter-in-law Trisha; and grandchildren Grace and Ty; as well as her brother, Lloyd Yunker.
