Art sought for display in City Hall

The SHOCASE Public Arts Committee is accepting art from local artists for display in the new City Hall beginning with an art show to be held there on Aug. 23.
Grand Opening, Grant Art kicks off at 12:30 p.m. and will remain on display through Dec. 15.
Artists must reside within the Sweet Home School District, and the art must be of a “family friendly” nature. It must be mounted on or in a rigid frame with a hanging wire. Entries may include two-dimensional art, everything from photography to oil paintings. Up to three pieces may be entered by each artist.
The art will be juried by the art show committee. Each selected entry will hang from one week prior to opening until one week after the show closes.
No sale of artwork will be conducted in the gallery, but prices may be listed. All sales must be done privately outside of the venue.
A community-based show, no entry fee will be collected.
