City plans forums to get input from public on library

LIBRARY patrons, board members and city officials celebrate the 75th anniversary of the institution in September 2017. The city is now seeking public input regarding what people think the needs are for a proposed remodeling project.

The Sweet Home Public Library will host three community forums on Wednesday, Aug. 28, to solicit public input for a needs assessment report.

FFA Architecture and Interiors is conducting the needs assessment and conceptual drawings for the library to help address growing usage.

The library moved from a 1,200-square-foot area in the City Hall basement to its present 5,825- square-foot location at the intersection of 13th and Kalmia streets, in 1969.
