Spikers fall to Valley Catholic at Sisters tourney; Outlaws here next

Sweet Home’s volleyball team’s winning streak ended Saturday in the championship bracket of the Sisters Tournament with a loss to then-No. 3 and defending state champion Valley Catholic.
The Huskies won the first game 25-23, but the Valiants took the next two, 25-10, 15-13, to move on to the semifinals. Until they met the Valients, Sweet Home had not lost a set this season.
It was a topsy-turvy afternoon for the state’s top teams.
Sisters ended up winning the tournament, beating Philomath, which had just beaten Valley Catholic in the semifinals, 25-18, 23-25, 15-13. Sisters downed...
