3:43 a.m. - Veronica Sue Szuch, 23, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Lebanon Justice Court warrant for failure to appear on a citation and Albany warrant for failure to appear, 3225 Main St. Cited and released.

Oct. 6

1:20 a.m. - Kaden Dodd, 18, arrested for unlawful use of a vehicle, 28500 block of Highway 20.

7:41 a.m. - Ronald Drury, 58, cited for driving uninsured and no license and arrested for failure to report as a sex offender and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of failure to report as a sex offender, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

8:49 a.m. - Brian Keith Bachman, 47, arrested for harassment, 937 Nandina St.

11:37 a.m. - Jacqueline Diane Banta cited for failure to carry proof of insurance, 1200 block of Long.

4:51 p.m. - Stacey Diane Stafford, 47, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of placing an offensive substance on public property, 700 block of Mountain View.

7:51 p.m. - Gilbert Alonzo Martinez, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Main and 23rd. Cited and released.


10:09 p.m. - Ladonna Gayle Bales, 43, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Eugene.

Oct. 5

2:24 a.m. - Julia Anne Payne, 40, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for third-degree theft, Linn County.

5:45 a.m. - Breanna Marie Mansell, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 900 block of Dogwood. Cited and released.

7:03 a.m. - Caller reported someone had kicked in the door to her residence, 4100 block of Osage. Report taken.

7:33 a.m. - Caller reported a male sleeping on the bus stop bench, Kalmia Street bus stop. Officer unable to locate anyone at the bus stop.

7:44 a.m. - Caller reported finding a stray dog, 1700 block of Main. Dog returned to owner.

8:34 a.m. - Officer found a bicycle, 2405 Main St., 7-Eleven. Placed in found property.

8:53 a.m. - Caller reported food stolen from a cooler at a campground, 45900 block of Highway 20. Report taken.

9:28 a.m. - Caller reported the theft of lottery tickets, 2405 Main St., 7-Eleven. Report taken. Loss estimated at $515 in lottery tickets and $3.98 in other merchandise.

9:46 a.m. - Caller reported people were camped out in the business and she wanted them trespassed, 1200 block of 15th. Officer contacted and trespassed a male and female.

1:50 p.m. - Phillip John Trujillo, 62, cited for speeding, 55 mph in a 35-mph zone, Airport Road.

3:16 p.m. - Daniel Lee Garrett, 38, arrested for restraining order violation, 4100 block of Osage. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5:50 p.m. - Caller reported that someone apparently tried to break into her vehicle, 600 block of 17th. Report taken. Damage estimated at $30.

6:55 p.m. - Caller reported cows in the roadway, 26600 block of Rowell Hill. Cows moved off the roadway prior to deputy arrival.

8:37 p.m. - Jamie Daniel Carpenter, 43, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to register vehicle, Long and 18th.

Oct. 4

4:33 a.m. - Shane Jeffrey Steinbacker, 45, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree forgery and for third-degree theft, 18th and Main. Cited and released.

4:33 a.m. - Cameron Michael Wark, 30, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 2100 block of Larch. Cited and released.

5:08 a.m. - Todd Buddy James Waterman, 36, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to complay on original charge of criminal driving while suspended, Lebanon.

8:10 a.m. - Shawna Mae Gunseth, 29, cited for failure to register a vehicle, 1800 block of Long.

8:31 a.m. - Kenneth Lee Storms, 16, cited for operating outside the provisional license restrictions, 22nd and Nandina.

8:31 a.m. - A 16-year-old juvenile referred to Juvenile Department for runaway and released to school, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School.

9:09 a.m. - Christopher Andrew Lee Hughlett, 30, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, Vets Club.

10:29 a.m. - Caller reported that someone deposited a large amount of money into her bank account, 4900 block of Osage. Information noted. Caller given an incident number at the request of the bank.

10:45 a.m. - Report taken for littering, 45900 block of Highway 20.

11:17 a.m. - Caller found a small safe in the intersection, 29th and Long. Item placed in found property.

11:27 a.m. - Caller reported that someone stole a pair of trailer tires, 3000 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $700.

11:35 a.m. - Dale Theodore Dietz, 62, cited for speeding, 53rd and Main.

12:19 p.m. - Caller reported a male sleeping in her patio, 1200 block of 1st. Officer contacted and trespassed the male.

1:48 p.m. - Michael Dashawn Ferebee, 40, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 2200 block of Main. Cited and released.

2:58 p.m. - Jeffrey Alexander McNees, 26, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, Main Street Market.

3:30 p.m. - Joshua Andrew Lee Swiercz, 28, cited for speeding, 55 mph in a 35-mph zone, and driving uninsured, across from the Nazarene Church on Highway 228.

4:27 p.m. - Caller reported a male subject going house to house trying to sell siding, 1000 block of Cedar. Officer contacted two males, who said their employer had a peddler’s license. Males advised to provide a copy of it before continuing.


5 p.m. - Caller requested extra patrol because her client was uncomfortable using the library bus stop during the evening hours because of the number of homeless subjects hanging around, 13th and Kalmia.

7:55 p.m. - Trevor Joel Brown, 30, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Albany.

8:35 p.m. - Caller reported a group of kids having a fight club in the middle of the street, 1200 block of 1st. Officer contacted kids who were going a round at a birthday party. Officer counseled them about doing that in public.

10:36 p.m. - Andrew Freitag, 18, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 22nd and Nandina.

Oct. 3

9:10 a.m. - James Robert Warrington, 40, cited and released in field for second-degree criminal trespass, 1266 15th Ave. Caller reported he was about to start work at the location and wanted the transients warned and to move along.

9:26 a.m. - Caller reported a female was trying to steal her dog, 3100 block of Main. Officer contacted the female, who said a male and female attempted to take her dog from her then left the area. Information noted.

2:03 p.m. - Lawrence Glenn Mahlberg, 55, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, Albany.

3 p.m. - Bryson Verl Setzkorn, 30, arrested for harassment (domestic violence), 1451 53rd Ave. Cited and released.

4:07 p.m. - Caller reported that a male keeps texting and calling her after being told not to call or text her, 1200 block of 23rd. Report taken for telephonic harassment.

3:09 p.m. - Shawn Patrick Jefferson, 24, cited for no license and driving uninsured, 4500 block of Main.

4:54 p.m. - Caller found a small bag with white powder inside, 1900 block of Main. Property seized for destruction.

6:56 p.m. - David Wayne Samson, 58, arrested by Oregon State Police on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft.

10:22 p.m. - Ariel Shanea Kaping, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of theft of lost or mislaid property, and Dakota Michael Anthony Landi, 25, arrested on state warrant for parole violation, 2405 Main St., 7-Eleven. Kaping cited and released. Landi transported to Linn County Jail.

Oct. 2

1:45 a.m. - James Brian Tidwell, 61, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and switched plates, 3200 block of Main. License plates seized.

9:26 a.m. - A 14-year-old juvenile referred to Juvenile Department for possession of marijuana, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School.

9:33 a.m. - Report taken for minor in possession of marijuana, 24800 block of Springer Road.

10:30 a.m. - Caller found a dog at large, Pleasant Valley Bridge. Dog placed in kennel then returned to owner. Owner warned for keeping a dog as a public nuisance.

11:08 a.m. - Caller reported two very young children were left alone in a car while a male went inside, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer contacted the male who went into the store quickly. No crime.

1:16 p.m. - Randy Dale Ensley, 55, arrested on Linn County Justice Court warrant for failure to appear on a citation, 1176 48th Ave. Cited and released.

1:21 p.m. - Caller reported a firearm stolen, 3100 block of Main. Report taken.

3:03 p.m. - Serenity Douglas, 20, cited for keeping a dog as a public nuisance, 1000 block of Wiley Creek. Caller had reported a dog loose in the area and neighbors had five dogs in their backyard. Dog located and returned to owner.

3:26 p.m. - While on forest patrol near the CTC McDowell Creek 600 gate, a deputy spoke with a UPS freight truck driver, with a semi and 45-foot trailer, who had stopped near the gate facing Lebanon. The driver was unable to safely negotiate the sharp corners on McDowell Creek Drive above the parks on his intended delivery to Camp Tadmor. The driver said the package was only 25 pounds, and the deputy offered to complete the delivery. Deputy delivered the package, a 10-foot plastic slide for the playground.

3:44 p.m. - Caller reported three dogs running loose in the area, Long and Oak Terrace. Officer unable to locate.

4:12 p.m. - James Warrington, 40, cited for open container of alcohol in a public place, 13th and Kalmia. He also was given a 30-day exclusion from the old City Hall parking lot. Multiple callers had reported a male passed out in the parking lot. Male evaluated by medics and cleared.

6:45 p.m. - Caller reported a juvenile stole a street sign, northbound 12th Avenue from Elm Street. Report taken. Loss estimated at $50.

7:37 p.m. - A 17-year-old male cited for minor in possession of alcohol, 1800 block of Long. Multiple callers had reported someone staggering into the roadway.

Oct. 1

12:06 a.m. - Cindy Lee Powell, 61, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of methamphetamine and Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of offensive littering, and John Burton Hamacher, 54, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and Lebanon Justice Court warrant for failure to appear, Sweet Home Evangelical Church.

1:57 a.m. - Skylar James Samson, 29, taken into custody on a Linn County no-bail detention order for possession of methamphetamine (owed 30 days in jail), 1500 block of Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:34 a.m. - Raymon Wayne Littell, 43, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of negotiating a bad check, Dallas.

7:04 a.m. - Caller reported juveniles were in the roadway playing while waiting for the bus, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Officer contacted the juveniles and counseled them on safety while waiting for the bus.

8:05 a.m. - Tiffany Lynn Beyer, 37, arrested for third-degree theft, 2000 Main St., McDonald’s. Cited and released.

8:43 p.m. - Caller reported someone broke into his home and motor home and stole his property, 1000 block of Northside. Report taken.

9:47 a.m. - Denise Rochelle Burrow, 52, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of methamphetamine and a criminal citation and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 2405 Main St., 7-Eleven.

1:03 p.m. - Christopher Andrew Hughlett, 31, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of carrying a concealed weapon and giving false information to a police officer. Cited and released.

1:23 p.m. - Matthew Kyle Burris, 32, cited for failure to register vehicle, east city limits.

1:54 p.m. - Caller reported lawn ornaments stolen from a yard, 4100 block of Osage. Report taken. Loss valued at $60.

2:18 p.m. - Officer located writing on park benches, Northside Park. Report taken for criminal mischief.

3:12 p..m. - Sharon Rebecka Coltrane, 46, cited for use of a cell phone, 9th and Main.

4:23 p.m. - Carman Lynn Jeffreys, 28, cited and released in field on Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 1037 13th Ave.

6:16 p.m. - Caller reported three cases of bottled water stolen from her porch while she was at the store, 1300 block of 13th. Report taken. Loss valued at $12.

8:32 p.m. - Caller found a cell phone, 1000 block of 4th. Placed in found property.

9:10 p.m. - Caller reported a female left Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital with an IV in her arm, 700 block of 12th. The caller wanted her to return so it could be removed safely. Officers unable to locate.

Sept. 30

12:01 p.m. - Two 16-year-old males referred to Juvenile Department for minor in possession of marijuana, 9th and Steelhead Way. Both transported back to high school.

6:39 p.m. - Caller reported a dog was breaking through his back fence, 1300 block of Quince. Officer contacted the involved parties. The owner of the dog was making attempts to prevent further incidents. Owner warned for keeping a dog as a public nuisance.
