Sweet Home High School's varsity cheerleaders perform their state routine Saturday, Dec. 14, during a cheer competition the Huskies hosted at the Main Gym. Because they were the hosts, they performed as an exhibition and did not compete. "They did great," said Coach Amber Rosa. "Everything hit. They looked great, especially for this early in the season. Our little youth team competed and did really well." Sweet Home won the Youth Rec Division. Sweet Home's junior team placed second in the Junior Rec Divsion. Sisters, which competes in the same division as SHHS, won the High School 4A Division. "I'm sure Sisters will be a contender." Rosa said 25 teams attended the competition, while 12 teams had to cancel thanks to weather and illness. The gym was still packed, with no seating left.
