David Louis Harris, 71, of Sweet Home died Dec. 25, 2019.
He was born Nov. 8, 1948 in Sweet Home to Johnnie and Sentha (Corhan) Harris.
He lived in Klamath, Calif., where he took care of his father until he died, then returned to Sweet Home.
Mr. Harris worked in a sawmill for many years and enjoyed hunting, family outings, and gospel shows.
He is survived by his wife, Carlene Persinger; sons David Harris Jr. of LaPine, and Michael Harris of Jefferson; siblings Delores Groshong, Johnny Dale Thorpe and Barbara Dubray, all of Smith River, Calif., and Kenny Harris of Sweet Home; stepdaughters Candace White, Stacie Blue, Stephanie Kelly, Jennifer Turner and Laura Sharp; 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Anderson, Carmon Bostic and Pam Ramirez.
Viewing will be at 11 a.m. Monday. Jan. 6, at Harvest Christian Center, 4231 Long St. A funeral service will follow at noon at the church.
