Eighth-Grade Volleyball team members are, in front, from left, Emily Rasmussen, Riley Anderson, Aytra Waggoner, Kaylene Zajic and Stephanie Saultz. In the second row, from left, are Kaydence Kistner, Bayless Mark, Miah Miller, Madison Ferebee, Faith Baker, Natalie Summers and Makennah Deckard. In the rear, from left, are Natalie Templin, Akira Blom, Kiah Cottrell, Coach Cassie Denue, Coach Tina Dodge, Adisen Graber, Hannah Wible and Abby Hogan. Coach Dodge said the Tigers, though they had some players with club experience, had a lot of team members who hadn't plaed a lot. They won two games. "We enjoyed being able to play at the high school (Activity Gym). I think the girls enjoyed getting to go to Newport twice," which was because Sweet Home was unable to host a scheduled game with Newport due to facilities unavailability. "All the girls worked hard," Dodge said. "They learned a lot of skills that they will be able to take into high school. Middle school is a big transition from the Boys & Girls Club and they did a great job with that. We just played some really tough teams, a lot of club-level experience." She said one big adjustment for the Tigers was "learning to play as a team, not just as individuals."
