Sherra Banta, 33, of Sweet Home died Feb. 1, 2020 at Adventist Medical Center in Portland.

She was born June 16, 1986 in Fort Riley, Kan. To David and Emma Banta, and was raised in Sweet Home, where she attended Hawhorne, Sweet Home Junior High and Sweet Home High schools.

She enjoyed music, watching movies and family gatherings.

Ms. Banta is survived by her parents, David Banta of Plat City, Mo. and Emma Banta of Lebanon; brother Dustin Winkler of Sweet Home; grandmother Dorthy Slinger of Sweet Home; and aunts and uncles Sheila Schmadeka of Lebanon, Kevin and Barbara Hoffman of Sweet Home, Patty and Troy Potts of Elgin and Tammy and David O’Brien of Sweet Home.

A memorial dinner will is planned for 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7. Those interested in attending are asked to contact the family for the location.
