Chamber of Commerce manager Mackenzie Thomas talks with Sweet Home High School juniors about writing resumes during a workshop for prospective members of the Sportsman's Holiday Court.Fourteen girls attended the workshop, a new feature in the Sportsman's Holiday Court schedule required before girls may apply. During the workshop, community leaders and Sportsman's Holiday Court Committee members provided instruction on a variety of related skills, such as public speaking, leadership and dressing for success. Prospective princesses must apply by Feb. 14. Selection will follow by March 2, and the court will be introduced at the annual Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet scheduled for March 14. The court will represent Sweet Home at community events around town and in other communities throughout the next year. The queen's coronation will kick off Sportsman's Holiday in July.
