Donna Mae (James) Tagen, 75, of Sweet Home died Feb. 18, 2020 in Albany.
She was born Jan. 30, 1945 in Klamath Falls to Edgar St. Clair and Jaunita Shirley (LaFever) James.
She resided at Timber View Care Center in Albany for seven months before her death. She lived most of her life in Oregon.
Mrs. Tagen was a housekeeper at hotels for seven years, and went on to be a care provider for 13 years. She then worked for eight years and retired from White’s Electronics in 2007.
She loved to fish, camp, and be in the outdoors. She loved family gatherings and spending time with each of her family members.
Mrs. Tagen loved her children unconditionally. She had a heart of gold. She wanted nothing more than to share her love with her family. and to anyone else who came into her life.
She is survived by her children, Clay and daughter-in-law Lisa Tagen, Laura (Tagen) Housen of Sweet Home, Guy Tagen of Salem, Gregory and daughter-in-law Tonya Tagen of Sweet Home, James and his daughter-in-law Kerri Tagen of Lebanon, and Sherman and daughter-in-law Madison Tagen of Albany; siblings Vernon and sister-in-law Sharon James of Anchorage, Alaska, Shirley Blish of Sweet Home, Freddie and sister-in-law Ann James of Indiana, Sharon and brother-in-law Bo Holland of Oklahoma, and Richard Laney of Texas; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Tagen was preceded in death by her mother; father; ex-husband George Everett Tagen; brother Arnold James; sister Betty Jo Scott; infant sister Rose-Marie; grandson Mason Tagen; and great-grandson Mason Andrew Kent.
A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 2, at Lewis Cemetery. Celebration of life will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Reigning Glory Church, 450 Oak Terrace, in Sweet Home.
