MMA fighter visits Oak Heights

Mixed Martial Arts fighter Jimmy Jennett talks with students at Oak Heights Elementary on on Feb. 11. During his presentation, he demonstrated kickboxing and talked to students about making good choices. "He runs a program called Checkered Past Outreach, based out of Eugene," said Principal Todd Barrett, bringing an anti-drug, anti-bullying message that urges children to be kind and to lift each other up. He shared his story, how he made bad choices and started losing fights. When he made better choices, he began to win.
