State releases graduation credit requirements

The lights are on Friday night at Husky Field "to say thank you to seniors who are enduring the largest health crisis in a lifetime, to let all other students know we miss them, that we'll get through this together and that we are anxious for their return," Athletic Director Nate Tyler said. One hundred seven other schools also participated in "Be the Light OR." The lights will go on at 8:20 p.m. every Friday for the rest of the year and left on for 1 minute per day of school missed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Oregon Department of Education released Graduation Pathways 2020 Wednesday (April 8) with the message that COVID-19 won't stop Oregon's high school seniors.

The guidance details how oregon's high school seniors can earn their final set of high school credits and graduate on time.

"COVID-19 won't knock Oregon's students off their path to graduation," said Agency Director Colt Gill. "This guidance assures our students' hard earned futures even during this global challenge."
