Reba Jean Gridley, 71, of Sweet Home peacefully passed away at her home May 26, 2020.
She was born April 15, 1949 in Sweet Home to Lonnis John and Peggy Norine (Sorrell) Rowe.
She lived in Sweet Home all her life. After high school, she became a mother. She went on to become a CNA and was a caregiver for many elderly people. She attended Trend College to become a secretary. Later she worked at a family restaurant named the Spring. Her husband called her “The Lady of the Spring.” She was a Christian.
Reba enjoyed reading romance novels, painting, gardening, cooking and puzzle books. She loved time with her children and grandchildren, watching Hallmark, Food Network and HGTV.
She is survived by her children, John Gilbert and Tonya Golden; brothers James Rowe and Michael Todd Rowe; grandchildren Mary Riley, Terry McCleary, Rosie Golden, Levi Golden, Jebediah Golden and Chloeeann Golden; and great-grandchildren Brylee McCleary, James Gilbert -Jones, Baby Emma and Stella Golden.
Reba was preceded in death by her husband, Rick Gridley; the father of her children, Ron Gilbert; grandchildren TJ Golden, Chance Golden and Anita Dugger; her mother and father; and sister Patricia Roebuck.
A celebration of life will be from 3 to 7 p.m. (to allow for social distancing) Friday, June 19, at Reba’s home, 4602 Kalmia St., Sweet Home. Feel free to bring a dish to share.
