On May 23, 2020 Shelby Rose Simonis, age 16, daughter of Jim and Amy (Heath) Simonis, passed away with her older brother, Caleb Frank Simonis, in a fatal car crash.

Shelby was finishing her junior year at Central Linn High School.

Everyone knew Shelby would fulfill her dream of becoming a large animal veterinarian.

She enjoyed living life to the fullest, always had a larger than life sense of humor and had a smile that could win over anyone.

Shelby was a true friend to all that knew her, most importantly to her brother and sister.

She will be missed by many friends, family and her beloved animals.

Shelby is survived by her parents, James Todd Simonis and Amy Michelle Simonis, along with her younger sister Kylee Anne Simonis. She is also survived by grandparents Larry Heath and Suzanne Simonis.

Shelby was preceded in death by grandparents James Theodore Simonis and JoAnne Heath.

Due to the social distancing requirements of COVID-19, the family will wait to hold a memorial service until a later date. The Simonis family is thankful for all those that have reached out during this time.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
